No air conditioning; difficulties with check-in

A strange experience. Main issue was the lack of air conditioning - it was 31 degrees outside and around double that in the hotel. I find it astonishing that a/c is absent in a country that has hot weather for at least 4 months a year. Another problem was arriving at 2pm and having to wait an hour to check in (with a tired baby). In fairness we discovered that the official check-in time is 3pm, but we didn’t see more than about 20 other guests, so I have no idea how it could take them so long to clean the rooms. Clearly the hotel does not employ enough cleaners. The staff were generally helpful, especially the manager of the terrace restaurant. However the above issues spoiled the visit.

We had a really enjoyable 3 nights, the two best attributes are the very friendly and helpful staff, and the complimentary bar. The rooms were well fitted out and modern, had a lovely stylish bathroom, very comfortable beds, and crisp linen. The continental breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of regional produce including fresh baked rolls and cheeses. My only surprise was that there was no air con as kr was the height of the heatwave, but the hotel staff gave us an excellent fan which aided sleep. There could be a place to sit inside which is quiet and away on its own. Felt calm, relaxed and taken care of at the end of the stay and would definitely come back or try other Accor hotels.

Hotel is convenient to train station and center of the “old” center. Breakfasts are very good with plenty of choice, including an omelette bar. Room was small but adequate and very clean. Staff was very accommodating

We stayed here for one night over the weekend. The receptionist was very friendly and she checked us in without any hassle. Our room was on the third floor, with a small balcony. The room was dated, as is the rest of the hotel. Everything was in good order, but not special. The reception closes at 8pm on the weekend due to the current situation, but you're provided with a doorkey to let you in at any time. Breakfast was good, enough choices, and the waitress cooks your omelet fresh. All in all a good stay, with friendly staff

We stayed here for a night and it was a mixed bag of experiences. The staff was professional, helpful and smiley. Thank you for that. The hotel claims to be a four-star and I am wondering what the four stars stand for: there is no gym/spa, the rooms are outdated, the bread at breakfast is of poor quality - the latter in contrast to high-quality fruit-salad and birchermuesli. Price was ok-ish.

We apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We understand, of course, that first impressions quickly disappear when performance is not as expected. It is true that we have already renovated and older rooms in our hotel. In order to improve this for your next visit, I would ask you to contact us directly and give us your name and room number from your last stay. So we can better understand what we can do better. The bread at the breakfast buffet is always freshly baked. The more we are surprised that it was rock hard. We will look at and discuss this problem directly internally and give the employees another extensive schooling. It is true that we do not have a spa or fitness area in the hotel. We offer our guests free access to the Pro 24 fitness studio. This is just a 7-minute walk from our hotel. On request, we are happy to hand out a batch so that the guest can use the free access to the fitness center.
