We had a layover in London traveling back to the US on our honeymoon. We splurged on a suite at the Savoy. The staff was so lovely...except...after a dinner out in London, we came back to out room to the ceiling leaking. We called the main desk and they so lovely apologized...and that was it. No offer to change us to a new room or compensate us for a leaking ceiling - nothing. They said that they would get to it and it wasn't an emergency as it was not leaking on to our bed. Old, leaking, overpriced...spend your money elsewhere.

Service excellent but afternoon tea needs improvement

We visited The Savoy for a vegan afternoon tea in April 2024. The service was excellent and our tea was poured regularly and changed often but the food was almost inedible. The sandwiches were rubbery, cold, and inedible and so soft they surely had to have been made in the morning (or possibly the night before) and the dessert was similarly lacklustre. As vegans, we cook often and there's simply no excuse for such an inartfully prepared meal. For the price, we expected more. If you're looking for a good vegan afternoon tea experience while in London, we preferred Brown's over The Savoy.

Superb Afternoon Tea, and Drinks at the American Bar

Loved the elegant experience of Afternoon Tea in the Thames Foyer at the Savoy! Absolutely beautiful hotel, full of history and wonderful staff and service. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed our experience immensely! Followed by cocktails at the America Bar; fabulous cocktails, atmosphere and service. Special kudos to the incredibly talented crooner at the piano, he enhanced our experience wonderfully and made our night. Not to be missed!

Superb standards throughout The Savoy from start to finish as one would expect. Front desk was extremely helpful in helping me with some awkward organising that I had to do. Restaurant 1890 by Ramsey again was a delight from start to finish.

My sister and I, together with friends, have just spent three days at The Savoy in London. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had, if not the best. The hotel staff were fantastic - extremely friendly, and efficient. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts at the beautiful Thames Foyer, had fun times at the iconic American Bar, and a memorable meal at Gordon Ramsey Michelin star 1890 restaurant. Our rooms were gorgeous, quiet, the beds extremely comfortable, and the turndown service exemplary. We definitely plan a return trip, and, in fact, have already booked it!
