We have a wonderful stay here for a few nights away. The rooms are clean, bright, modern and welcoming and the standard of room is quite high. The hotel is located very close to a metro station and relatively easy to access from the airport. The Reception staff were welcoming and we really enjoyed the quietness of the property. The TV is of an excellent standard and we stayed win a Suite and was surprised at having two TV's. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and we will most definitely be back.

Really bad experience...ended up costing over £50 more than expected...just a money making machine. Unfriendly, ignorant staff. Supposedly 4* but I've stayed in better hostels. 20 minute walk to nearest metro station and limited facilities nearby. Lack of atmosphere and an intensely strong cologne smell prevading the corridor. Badly designed showers which leaked water through door. A really hot room, ac didn't work and too noisy to open window. Bad TV reception and poor choice of English channels. Breakfast was uneventful and lacking in variety, restaurant never open and room service menu overpriced. Would never stay here again.

Avoid - do not stay here!

You could not swing a cat in the (‘superior’) room I had. The room safe barely managed with two passports it was so small. The gym opens at 9am - not much good for business users and it was overly basic! There is no room service; it was barked at me that it was an ‘external service’ which I understood the first time it was shouted (in fairness in a raised voice) at me. However, it didn’t arrive so I had to go out to find a restaurant that would serve me at 11 at night. Overall this is a very poor hotel and the only reason I give it 2 out of 5 is because the shower was half decent! Avoid this place like the plague.

Promise: when booking the hotel I was “told”/“promised” that as a Gold member my room would be upgraded to a superior room with a nice city view. Reality: “Superior” room turned out to be minuscule - so smaller than tiny - with a view over the wall of another building 🙈 Then I asked to give me another room and was given a “cage” on a 2nd floor - saying that was the only available option… having checked the rooms on upper floors - turned out those were not occupied… but a standard response from the reception - we are fully booked. Floors are dirty and not checked… Why a 2* Ibis Styles can deliver an outstanding service and a 4* Mercure cannot deliver even what it should??? No wonder the hotel has only 4.2 rating… should be 1.2 in reality. The hotel manager - Maria - completely ignorant - so good luck asking her for help. The reception desk supervisor - Mimi - was so arrogant to the point of disgust of speaking to her and the reception team member - Antonio - was also very rude. When checking out I was asked to pay for the champagne that I have paid when booking the room - made me looked embarrassed in front of friend… THIS HOTEL AND THE TEAM - MOST IMPORTANTLY - IS BEYOND BAD!

Dear Mr. Gaydarov, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Mercure Barcelona Condor. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We attempted to provide you with a variety of options to ensure a better stay with us. My colleagues on the front desk and I informed you that you were given an upgrade to room 601, which has VIP amenities (bathrobe, slippers, VIP welcome, etc.) which also has a balcony with views. As indicated later, that day the hotel was fully booked and we did not have a junior suite or a room with a terrace available for you to change, if by any chance we had one we could have given that room without hesitation. We showed you two standard rooms, 212, an interior double room, and room 303, which has two beds and with views of the street. In the end, you made the decision to stay in room 212. Later that noon, you went to the front desk asking for Maria (General Manager), who unfortunately at the time she was on a teleconference and couldn’t assist you. However you came into the office twice, in both occasions we explained the reason why we couldn’t give you another room because they were already occupied by other guests and you tried to verify it yourself by knocking the door. We tried our best and gave you our best options, offered you two rooms in hopes that one of them would be of your liking, and we also offered you the option to cancel your reservation without any fees and our help to look for another Accor hotel; all these options were refused. We strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Sincerely,

Worst Hotel in Barcelona

Worst hotel ever, avoid this hotel at all cost. The receptionist was extremely rude. This is the only 4 star hotel I know where you need to go to the reception to collect extra pillows. The rooms are tiny and absolutely filthy. It was a mistake booking this hotel.
