While the accommodation at Desert Gardens Hotel Uluru offered comfortable beds for a restful night's sleep, the bathroom experience was less than satisfactory. Upon entering suggesting poor ventilation or cleanliness issues. The milky cappuccino at Desert Gardens Hotel Uluru wasn't enjoyable. Served for lunch - very small beef burger, maybe kids' size. The biggest disappointment of not finding breakfast or soup options on the menu. Maybe less burgers and chips?! More healthy food will be nice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Loved the Garden walk and bush Yard with the great indigenous Tour guide, Ganiva. She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She knows what she is talking about, and she includes some interesting stories.

More than you think! Fabulous!

Whilst this resort is in the middle of nowhere they have everything you need! The staff were amazing from the smiling man who will help you find your room and help you with your bags. To the staff in the restaurant! I have to give a special mention to Mawar in the restaurant who made our day with her lovely smile and how happy and helpful she was! We stayed in a room with a view of Uluru and it was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. I could have looked at that view all day! We thoroughly enjoyed our excursions, the sounds of silence dinner, the sunrise tour over Kata Tjuṯa and the sunset tour to Uluru. Everything was very well organised and all of our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. We went in April and the flies were still a nuisance, I highly recommend a fly net which solves that problem. The only other problem with this resort is we could have stayed another day!

This hotel is a solid choice. Nothing exceptional but you’re in the desert so have to be realistic. All of the hotels and restaurants in Yulara are under the same ownership so the menus are pretty much the same wherever you eat. There is a nice grassy area and pool in the middle of the hotel. Tip would be to get a room not far from reception and the pool. We were in a room in the 400s furthest from reception, restaurant, car park and pool and you end up walking a lot to and from your room.

We really loved our time at Desert Gardens hotel. I travelled with my 80-year-old aunt who had limited mobility and low vision. The rooms were large, bright, clean and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained with beautiful trees shrubs and lovely bird life. The whole resort was also very disabled friendly with a nice outdoor lawn area for games and fun. We had a room overlooking the pool which was great. We really enjoyed our three nights at the Desert Gardens Hotel. It was central to everything. The staff were also lovely, very friendly and accommodating.

Convenient to Uluru and the Outback

We stayed her with our tour group for 2 nights. Very nice hotel in the Outback. Modern lobby and reception area. Greeted warmly by the staff. It is a one story complex that seems to blend in with its surroundings. Large room with comfortable bed. Sliding door but no screen so do lot leave it open. Critters you don’t want to deal with will come in. Convenient to Uluru and Kata Tjuta, two rock formations important to the Aboriginal people. Interesting information center that tells about Uluru. The restaurant was excellent. Try the kangaroo kabobs. Breakfast included with a huge spread. Coffee shop and a few shops a 5 minute walk from hotel, as well as a museum relating to the Aboriginese. Highly recommend this hotel.
