Started off well when we were upgraded to a privileged room (rather than climb 32 stairs) who does that? Food was ok not great-definitely not worth the price we paid. Accommodation was a bit dated. Lots of blank walls need some artworks. There was an old Band-Aid on the fresh towel (not something you want to see when you hop out of the shower and open your towel). Air con did not work properly in the bedroom very stuffy. Overall, it was overpriced for what it was. Sorry I will not stay there again and I cannot recommend.

Has potential but we were disappointed. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which was very run down and needed a good clean from top to bottom. Shower head was awful. Breakfast was the worst i have ever had a hotel, little variety and the hot food was cold. The restaurant for dinner was okay expensive for what you actually get. Some staff were amazing, and it was obvious they were doing all the work whilst some stood around doing nothing.

A lovely experience at a hidden gem, check in was efficient & the room clean & comfortable. enjoyed sitting outside with a drink in the bar area & a nice simple meal in the restaurant for dinner. The Buffett breakfast was okay I found the scrambled eggs very dry but if this is my only complaint it is minor. Will go back again for longer to enjoy the place.

My family had a great time here. Sure, it's a bit isolated but that's what we were after - and the shops are a short drive away anyhow (there are also chocolate and cheese factories in the area!). Not that we needed to go out much. The indoor and outdoor pools are both decently sized, and there's even play equipment for kids. The restaurant has some good offerings as well (and can be ordered for room service). When we dined in, a mistake was made with our order but we were quickly and adequately compensated. We booked a 2-bedroom apartment. Ours was actually a studio and one-bedroom apartment connected to each other so there was HEAPS of room! Full kitchen, laundry etc. Really appreciated that a clothes horse was provided for wet things. My only quibble - hence the not-quite-perfect rating - is the parking. There's two distinct sections, with one in front of the rooms that aren't in the main building and old signage indicates that cards used to be needed to enter it. Problem is, there's no barrier there anymore and golfers cheerfully park there instead, forcing you to drag kids and bags from spots up to 50 metres away. So much for the receptionist saying I could park right outside my room! If this is addressed (as in, reinstating the missing barrier and/or ensuring that golfers park in their own car park), I'd have no issue coming back.

Bar staff would be more at home in a low class pub. This establishment is aiming for a high end appeal but falls short in service and looks. Pro shop staff friendly and helpful, but don't bother to go up for drink.
