Basic at best 2-star hotel — mis-advertised

This is not close to a three star hotel. First and foremost there is no a/c in any of the rooms. (Lobby and hallways are cool but the rooms are exceptionally hot… we had to prop out door open to the hallway to get some cool air). Windows open a bit There are truly the ‘basic of basics’ — one towel, one pillow, one sheet, one bottle of body/face/hair wash. No washcloths, no top sheets. And the bedding is done in such a way that nothing stays in the beds We alerted the front desk that the ac wasn’t working and they told us a few hours later it had been fixed but there was no change. We have friends staying here as well and all complain that the ac in the rooms does not work Don’t bother, there are better places in this neighborhood to stay

We have just returned from this hotel where we have stayed four times. It is to visit our Family who live not far away. The staff are really friendly. We were disappointed that after the refurbishment, there is so little storage space to keep your clothes, there is a metal shelf unit, and a metal hangind rail. Before, there was a unit with shelves which was most useful. The room is kept beautifully clean. Whilst the breakfast is fine with good choice, also a waffle maker, it would be very good to have a toaster.. We have booked to come again next year.

Hotel is very conveniently located near the Wittenbergplatz/underground. Plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. Room top clean, room looks recently renovated, excellent bed, nice bathroom, plenty of hot water! We had a room at the front = looking out the Bayreuther street: no noice at all. Nice breakfast with cold and hot things, even waffles for breakfast, freshly baked. Friendly staff. The perfect stay for a city trip, we leave our rooms at 8 in the morning and come back at night, so no need for a hotel too fancy/expensive.

Strategically located hotel for the Zoo/Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church part of central Berlin. Just a block away from the U-bahn and an easy walk to the Tiergarten and the Victory Column. Ibis seems to fall into the category of newer hotel chains that have smaller but highly functional rooms for a price lower than the going rate of surrounding hotels. It has 24-hour desk service, a full breakfast option and a well-stocked beverage cabinet in the lobby. You can't go wrong at this Ibis.

The best thing about this hotel is it’s location. It’s a 2 minute walk from the nearest UBhan. The room we had was comfortable and quiet. However there was building work’s going on in the hotel which I was never made aware of. The room didn’t have a safe or a phone which meant there was no way to contact Reception without physically leaving the room and going downstairs. Breakfast was average. The organisation of it was disastrous. Everything was all over the place. The strangest thing though was the self service bar. It was very impersonal and off putting.
