I stayed with my partner and our son and we absolutely loved our time here. We stayed in a privilege room and it was a fantastic room with loads of space and light. The whole hotel was absolutely spotless. Breakfast at The Orangery was lovely and my son absolutely loved the pancake machine. We also had dinner at the Carter & Fitch restaurant, where the food was amazing. We all enjoyed using the pool and spa facilities, which were spotless and relatively quiet, so felt like our own private pool at times. All of the staff were very friendly and more than happy to go above and beyond to help in any way. I would highly recommend this hotel for all of the above reasons. We will without doubt be back.

Great stay at this hotel. We were allowed to check in early and use the swimming pool whilst our room was being finished. Room was a little outdated but clean and comfortable. We just had a standard room but the upgraded rooms look even smarter. Dinner was lovely in the restaurant and breakfast was great! It’s clear some of the staff are new, but everyone was very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay

I arrived as part of a large group but hadn’t pre booked. I paid for a room plus a single occupancy supplement and was given the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen outside of the Britannia group. Dark, damp and smelly. The ‘window’ faced internally and not to the outside spring sunshine. This lack of fresh air almost certainly contributed to the horrible musty smell. Hindsight tells me I should have got a refund and got a hotel worthy of my money but, I was part of a large group of 50+ and didn’t want to poop the party. Without hesitation I complained to reception where I was given a better room. The new room was below the standard I enjoy of Premier Inn and compares less favourably to Travelodge, but at least with Travelodge the toilet isn’t crammed against a wall. Inexcusable. Cannot describe the bed as comfortable, merely adequate. I was given this room only because another member of our party had rejected it as he needed a socket near to his bed for breathing apparatus. Only upon arriving home that another guest showed me his room photo. It was very smart Had I seen this quality of room was available I definitely would have walked. Boy I feel ripped off. 2024 and I’m paying three figures a night and no socket let alone usb. Postage stamp telly. The hotel food was very good and the staff pleasant. I decided on a red wine to end the night and the barman decided what I should drink! I asked are there any others and given a choice of four! Checked in on Saturday 6th of April. The reception staff are in serious need of further training.

Providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests is our top priority, and we regret that we fell short of meeting your expectations. We apologize for the initial room allocation and any inconvenience caused by the conditions of the room. Your concerns regarding the lack of fresh air, musty smell, and inadequate facilities have been duly noted. This is the only room in our hotel that does not have an outside window, and as such is usually the last we sell. We are investigating why this was given to you if other options were available. We understand your disappointment with the room you were initially assigned and appreciate your patience as we worked to accommodate your needs. We regret that the alternative room provided did not fully meet your expectations either, and we will use your feedback to make necessary improvements. Regarding the lack of sockets and USB ports, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We do of course have sockets in all of our rooms and USB ports in all of our superior and privilege rooms. All rooms have a planned refurbishment on the horizon which will ensure all rooms meet this standard in the future. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the quality of the hotel food and found our staff to be pleasant. However, we apologize for any miscommunication or inconvenience caused by the bar service. Your feedback regarding the reception staff has been taken seriously, however it should be noted that we have had a large influx of new team members ready for the peak season, and so some of our team are very new and are currently being trained. Once again, we apologize for the shortcomings you experienced during your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a more satisfactory experience.

Awful customer service and very pricy booze.

10pm, the whole room vibrates and there's a rumbling from hell next door. I was drunk and tired, so I left it. Then every 30 mins all through the night, it did it again, and it kept me on the verge of awake until 4am when I could't take any more. Turns out a bolt was loose on a generator (or something like) in the room next to mine and they'd known about it for hours. 7am, a grumpy me complains. Not eveny an apology, never mind any offer of recompense for a vibrating room. Truly awful customer service. Food was good though, drinks a brutal price, £6.10 for a vodka and coke!!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we did have an isolated issue with our water system which we understand caused a great deal of inconvenience for some of our guests. I apologise if the matter was not handled particularly well by our team - this has been discussed with them so that we do better should anything similar arise in the future. I am glad to say that engineers were able to rectify the issue the next day and this is no longer happening With regards to drinks prices, we work hard to keep our prices competitive and on par with other 4 star establishments. I am sorry to hear that you felt our prices are too high. We will keep this in mind when pricing is next reviewed Thank you again for your feedback and I hope we can welcome you back in the near future

Poor service, poor quality, high prices

Bar staff uninterested and on phone while queue formed and still on phone as serving , price £7 more than local pub and did not have the correct for the Beavertown neck oil so served flat in a working man’s club glass then changed it to a cider glass, not the service you would expect from a premium hotel.
