The location is just off the freeway yet we didn’t hear a thing. Room is basic: bed good size but had a slope so a little uncomfortable, room for our luggage, shower was great but if you are tall the toilet cupboard (yep it’s in a cupboard) might be small for you. For 1 night and given the price it’s perfectly fine. Parking is outside but behind a fence, plenty of spaces and €0. Reception was helpful with a booking issue I had.

As with all Ibis Budget hotels friendly staff, comfortable rooms and hearty breakfast. In close proximity to restaurants and shops. Within half an hour drive to Chateau Guedelon the purpose of our trip.

Budget but not necessarily value for money

This is a typical budget chain hotel. The room we had on the ground floor had everything we needed except a bedside light which was broken. As we had to keep the blind drawn and the top bunk blocked out the overhead light this was a bit of a pain but we were only here for one night so managed. The bed was hard and I did not think the price when compared to some B&Bs nearby was that low but it served its purpose. One thing - we had already paid when we booked and they did try and charge us again.

As someone else has described this hotel as "Spartan"... I would second that opinion. On the positive side it is located close to the highway for travellers like ourselves and we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Initially the rooms were a shock as we had booked this last minute and having stayed at Ibis hotels before assumed it would be similar. Its not , its more like basic hostel . The room consists of a double bed with a single bed suspended above. This resulted in a few bumped heads over the next few hours. The washbasin and shower are part of the room with the toilet being a separate plastic box in the corner. There are no provisions for meal service in the evening but there are some restaurants very close by. Breakfast was an extra few euro's but simple and nourishing and served by very friendly staff. Different but it provided shelter for the night.

Sir, Thank you for taking the time to explain your resenti following your stay in my hotel. There are 3 ranges of Ibis, Greens (the most expensive), Red (3 stars) and Budget Blues. Each range has a color and a price. The designs are different. We hope that you had a good time with us. See you soon

This was a good location for us on route south, and easy to find not far from the Autoroute. Car parking on site and evening meal available a short walk away. Also we drove a short way to view nice scenes of the Loire.
