Nice hotel ten minutes from town center ,nice clean bright room good house keeping and friendly reception staff. we stayed here so we could visit our son who lives in the area . It is probably a one or two night stop hotel in the main but we had a six night stop and found it very good.

I expected better from Ibis

This is probably the worst Ibis I've ever stayed in. Outdated decor (vinyl on bathroom floors????? Really?), slow internet that's not even good enough for loading images, let alone having video conferences or watching videos, no kettle, tea or other drinks in the room, hair dryer reminiscent of bad movies from 1970s and a very poor service in general. Cleaners don't bother replacing almost finished toilet rolls or replacing used water cups for brushing teeth in the bathrooms either, which is completely disgusting. The hotel advertises room service but it's not something you could refer to as such. I appreciate it is in the middle of nowhere but if you come to Valenciennes, I would advise you to avoid this hotel if you can.

This is a clean, basic and good value for money hotel with friendly staff. BUT beware smokers are allowed to congregate outside entry doors. After asking one group to please be quiet as they were disturbing the peace we had to telephone down to reception at 1 am in the morning to move them on in order for us to get some sleep. Also fumes do enter rooms. Breakfasts are excellent with of choice. This has been our 3rd visit choosing this hotel for easy access to motorway to visit the war grave at Ghissignies.

Excellent BandB near to town and has a excellent Bistro just 50 yds up the opposite side of road. This Bistro is a must not miss for food, friendly family run bar with nothing to much trouble. Sit down and enjoy the variety of local beers and a few surprise shorts.

Nice clean hotel within walking distance to town nicely renovated bar area with friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned every day the roads around the hotel are quiet we all had a lovely stay and we look forward to staying again
