Average hotel in a very good location

Good location, close to the subway, and convenient for seeing the sights of fabulous Marseille. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Rooms small, but clean and perfectly adequate, though rather cheerlessly furnished and decorated. The long corridors, with their low ceilings are very „claustrophobic“.

The best stay I have experienced in an Ibis hotel. The rooms and shared areas are in perfect condition. The evening meal menu is exceptional and the staff are friendly and extremely responsive. The only negative was some noise from the immediate area through teenagers using mopeds

Basic, modern, clean, budget but not good value for money at 109 euros per night.

This hotel is basic and the room was small but clean and tidy. The staff were helpful, polite and spoke good English. It is located in the Business district of Marseille where all of the buildings look exactly the same, from office blocks to hotels to car parks. The hotel had a bar/dining/terrace which was on the walk way. It was close to a boutique shopping centre with a food court which we walked through but didnt use. The number of vagrants and beggars in the area made us feel uncomfortable. It is impossible to stop in your car outside so prebooking car parking is a necessity, but it did work well. Although the Pope did not stay at this hotel he did cause us some travelling difficulties around the town and he caused the Cathedral to be closed for security. (we wished they had put the closed sign at the bottom of the 174 steps not at the entrance to the Cathedral).

The hotel is in a good location. Very near to the centre. The room extremely clean and the hotel in general. The staff very friendly. We could have our breakfast outide. There is a huge place outside to sit enjoy a drink or a meal. As we we’re coming to town we saw lots of rubbish in several parts of the town in Marseille. I didn’t like that…. But the hotel was a great choice.

Ibis delivers a standard quality of a clean room with all you need, but the rooms are a bit spartan, no frills. So no coffee maker, fridge, safe etc. But you pay for what you get. From the app, making a choice on my phone I was led to thinking they had their own parking (filtering for parking), but parking is in a garage at a reduced fee of 20 euros for a night. On closer inspection this is mentioned on their website, but can easily be overlooked.
