Stayed for 2 nights for a concert. The price I paid for what we got was extortionate. Rooms VERY basic, no tea/coffee facilities, no hairdryer. Toilet was like a cupboard, sink & shower in main part of room. Fire alarm went off at 2am on first night, communication from staff very poor & when asked where the water was to take a drink back upstairs, we were told to "just use the tap in your room". Room was cleaned daily though although not given any extra toilet roll, which was a very poor quality. Only 1 bath towel each, no hand towels. After paying £548 for 2 nights I would have expected a bit better, even though I knew it was budget, I expected basics like hairdryer & tea/coffee & a complete bathroom... it was almost a hostel. Hotel really cashing in on the local events. Location was decent though with a co-op & spar across the road & a 10 minute walk away from Cardiff centre & station. Not one I wpuld recommend & feel really ripped off.

The bright contemporary room was spotless and arranged for comfort and convenience. The only thing it lacked was an electric tea kettle, but those were available for rent at reception. Staff members were helpful, and the breakfast was very tasty. All this at a budget-friendly price!

Basic hotel, clean and good price

It's a basic and budget hotel but they provided free coffee and tea in the common area for all in-house guests. The front office staffs are very friendly. But the location is a bit far from the restaurant areas and city center. You will need to cross over an iron bridge for footpaths. So, if you bring a big luggage from the city centre to the hotel, choose to order a taxi. Otherwise, you will need to lift your luggage through the iron stairs on the way.

Lovely hotel close to the city centre, ideal for those that are going for a stag/hen weekend, rooms are a good size and for the most part it was tidy. Out of the 7 rooms we booked, only one hadn’t been cleaned and made up for us, but the reception staff were very helpful and apologetic and was more than happy to give us a change of room. Would stay here again.

A functional compact place to stay, neat and clean. Stay and bath, good heating (a blessing, and strangely enough, a semi-rare commodity). Very friendly and helpful staff. Location wise good as it is almost in between the City centre and Cardiff Bay, short walks either way.
