Difficult questions at reception that is of a private matter. Two men checking into one room seems to be an issue with the reception staff. Whilst I respect the views of ever country I visit. In return hotels do the same for international visitors.

As for a non-smoking room

The room was spacious, the bathroom was quite an ensuite one with doors between de bed and the bathroom, there was a separated toilet, a closet, complementary water. This was all ok. But I got a smoking-room... so it really smelled nasty inside. There is a carpet on the floor and a couch which all attracted the smoke of the previous guests. The room could only open for a small bit so letting fresh air in was a disaster. The breakfast saved the stay in this hotel, to be honest. Very good, a lot of choices.

My stay at Novotel Istanbul Zetunburnu

I arrived Novotel Istanbul Zetunburni in the early hours of Wednesday, the 13th of December 2023. I was checked into my room almost immediately. Breakfast and all other services were great. The hotel is always clean with good staff. Everyone is ready to assist you at all times too.

Worst and Disastrous Stay in Istanbul

I stayed there for 2 nights and the worst ever stay in my Istanbul trip, hotel rooms are outdated, they don't value the Loyalty guest. Being Accor gold member no such differentiation was seen , the staff members are rude and arrogant. They don't know how to connect with customers with a smiling face, for what so ever request you will go, they will just do the formalities and basic duties. After a thorough feedback given to the Accor team on the poor and below par stay, the manager is still backing is useless and in efficient team and blames the customer that we guests are wrong and everyone else working in the hotel is right. BEWARE to book a stay at this useless property where the management and employees are synced up to support each other rather than supporting the guests. I will make sure to write a detailed email to the Accor Higher Management about the dirty politics they play in this hotel.
