Nothing special - but nothing to complain about

There was nothing special about this hotel. It did sit in a nice retail area with lots of restaurants and shops booth Burger King and McDonald’s were close by as was a potato restaurant not have breakfast. My bike was stored in a shed securely to the side of the hotel.

Not up to usual IBIS standard :-(

We've stayed in IBIS hotels many times, and have usually been impressed by their high standards. Unfortunately this one fell far short. The hotel itself is difficult to find, due to lack of signage on the nearby roads. When we first arrived at the hotel, the receptionist could not find our booking. Whilst she was searching for it, another guest pushed past us to the desk and asked her a question. She then ignored us whilst she answered it, and did not apologise to us for the interruption. This behaviour is totally unacceptable, and is definitely not the way to treat your customers. During the whole of our stay we could not use the hotel WiFi on any of our devices. On two separate occasions we asked the staff at Reception for help, but they were unable to solve the problem and even implied that it was our own fault! One of them even asked "Why do you not just use your 4G signal?" We eventually realised that the the problem was caused by the network not directing us to a Login Page after we first connected. These incidents fall far short of the high standard we have come to expect from Ibis Hotels, and we do not feel that we received good value for money on this occasion.

Hotel was good and staff helpfull. The room was fine.parking good as I would expect more than this is difficult to put into words As an ibis budget there is a limited amount to comment on thus I have done my best .

Arrived approx 4pm but had a problem opening the main entrance door which had a hidden handle but after a few minutes someone came and explained. A slight problem booking in due to language but soon resolved. Helpful staff, clean room, linen ok small towels . Breakfast adequate and reasonable value for money.

Definitely value for money. Budget hotel with an excellent location to visit La Rochelle, Ile d'Oleron and Ile de Re. Free parking. More than reasonable breakfast for the price paid. Just a pity they don't have the comfy Ibis beds.
