Comfortable and quiet hotel

This hotel is just outside Granville. There are plenty os other hotels closer to the town centre, but out here there are plenty of shops and places to eat. We walked down into the centre and then on to the walled town on the headland. Our room is at the back of the hotel, but the front would be quiet as well as the hotel is set well back from the road. Our room is clean and tidy. There is a Wafu Chinese & Japanese buffet restaurant in the shopping area next-door

Good sized basic hotel. Free onsite parking was nice. Self check in available through a machine when reception is not manned. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Our stay was slightly affected by a large group of teenage guests making noise (they were military cadets in town for D-Day commemorations)

Basic room (a bit small) but suitable for just spending one night or overnight stay. Small bathroom , bed a bit hard and not hugely comfortable. We did not have breakfast there do cannot comment on the food.

A very impersonal, robotic experience with no human contact throughout our stay. We checked in on the touchscreen, access to room on another keyboard, did not have breakfast, checked out without seeing or speaking to any staff. The room was basic but larger than other Ibis budgets I have stayed in. Clean, adequately comfortable and a fairly good location though not walking distance to any eateries. Plenty of parking. Disconcerting the number of people I saw hanging out their windows smoking. Big garden at back but needed cleaning up the awful amount of litter left there.

I've used Ibis Budget often but Ibis Budget Granville stood out because of the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, both at arrival and departure. The hotel is not in the centre of Granville but is well located for those travelling by car
