Brilliant hotel. Perfectly situated in Munich with easy access to the old town, shops and public transport. Super helpful staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. All details had been thought of at breakfast with lots of choice.

One minute walk to Marienplatz. All shops minutes away. Easy walk to trains. Amazing breakfast. Not a real lobby to speak of, but double room was perfect. Great water pressure. Free drinks in minibar! Restaurants, tea shop, dessert shop, drug-store all within one block.

DO NOT BOOK A RESERVATION WITH THIS HOTEL. Their customer service is reprehensible. I made a reservation for more than 6 months ahead, then our plans immediately changed. Less than one week later , I am trying to cancel, and they are charging me 90% of the room rate. They claim our reservation was booked as a greatly reduced rate, which is not true. Also, the reservation is during Octoberfest, which means they will have no difficulty rebooking the room, ESPECIALLY IN SIX MONTHS !

This hotel's obvious drawcard is its location - it is barely 5 minutes away from the famous Frauenkirche; it terms of being right in the middle of Munich's historic centre, it doesn't get much better than this. But besides the location, I also found this hotel to be excellent value for money - the room was larger than I expected, the items in the minibar were free, and the breakfast was generous. And, to top it off, my room had a full-size bathtub - perfect for the cold January weather. (Not sure if all rooms have one, I was in a "Standard Room with double bed".) Very satisfied overall, would certainly stay here again on my next trip to Munich.

Convenient hotel close to Marienplatz

We arrived in Munich at the hotel right before a huge snowstorm. First of all, this hotel is in a great location. We went to visit the Christmas markets and we were so close! Location was perfect. It would have been difficult to be much closer to Marienplatz, which was great. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was vey nice. Lots of options to eat and drink and the water and coffee were available 24 hours even when the kitchen was closed. We ended up getting stuck for an extra night in the hotel due to the snowstorm. We weren’t thrilled about this, but the hotel was able to provide an extra night for us at a reasonable cost so we were happy we didn’t have to check out and check back in elsewhere. Our room (2 twin beds) was cozy but adequate and modern. Big windows so lots of light but also blackout shades. Would definitely recommend this hotel for the Christmas markets. We didn’t do much else in Munich as the city basically shut down from the snow, but again this location was great for the markets, which remained open.
