No-nonsense Spotlessly Clean

Stay here regularly when passing through Malaga and it’s a great no frills option with no-nonsense rooms, spotlessly clean with a good shower and comfortable beds. Staff are very efficient and friendly and the inexpensive breakfast ticks all the boxes. A great option for Malaga.

I believe they’ve upgraded the beds recently and I have to say it is the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve stayed in recently, lovely and soft with fluffy pillows. It’s exactly what’s expected for approximately £60 for one night with Accor status. Temperature control on the shower is terrible; either freezing cold or scalding hot and difficult to find a good medium. As other reviewers have mentioned, the light does make a strange sound after it’s turned off not sure if this is related to the plastic cooling down. Overall exactly what you expect really. It could do with a bit more information within the rooms around amenities available for example does it do breakfast only or does it offer dinner etc., transport such as buses and taxis to airport given its nearby etc.

Basic. Expensive for what it is.

Very basic, as expected. Check in was quick, staff was kind. We needed two triples rooms, for which we paid 79€ each. I found it quite expensive given the amenities (nothing). There’s a smell of pee all over the hallway and it could get a good cleaning. The rooms, on the other hand, seem clean enough. Pillows are horrible and the light in our room made a terrible noise for like 1h after we switched off. Breakfast costs 7€ per person, half price for kids under 6. The selection was very good, better than expected. Parking costs 6€ a day and can be outside or covered.

€20 taxi from airport

So it’s reasonably close to the airport but nevertheless €20 in a taxi which is similar to a cab into central Malaga. Rooms are basic with the usual ibis pod bathroom . Breakfast was better than expected . There’s also coffee, vending machines and a microwave in the reception. Was better than expected but at €110 not exactly budget. The neighbourhood is mainly major highways but there is an Aldi next door.

Noisy, Noisy Noisy

We stayed 2 nights, November 18 & 19. Our Accor status went unrecognised at check-in. First room was opposite main highway. Hotel have turned air con off for winter, so we had no option but to have the window open. The noise was unbearable. The following day, we were moved to another room, this time overlooking the outside car park. With the windows open, we heard constant chatter from Smokers who gathered outside as well as have our room filled with the smell of their cigarettes. In the early hours of the morning, music started blaring from another room. It was ear splitting. Reception did nothing - they did not answer the phone. Before 5am we were again exposed to noise, laughter and car horns as early rising guests left the hotel. We will never choose to stay at this hotel again.
