Convenient stay

This hotel was a good choice for a short stay. Its central location was perfect for exploring the city on foot, and it was easily accessible by tram and bus. Our three-person room was very spacious and had a nice view from the large windows. Housekeeping cleaned the room and replaced towels daily, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The staff was helpful. However, the breakfast lacked variety and needed better replenishment, and the coffee was low-quality. The beds weren't comfortable, and there were no bedside sockets. A kettle in the room would have been a nice addition.

Good location, but lack of service quality at the reception.

Positive: The location of the hotel is good because it is within walking distance to the old city center. The breakfast is also good considering the hotel category. Negative: lack of service orientation of the receptionists (especially one lady with longer black hair). I have rarely come across hotel staff that is so little forthcoming and conveys so much the impression to be in a bad mood. My guess is that it is a lack of training. Two examples: 1. After the first night, I had to change rooms because my room was very loud; I had to leave for some business after breakfast and was told that the hotel would prepare the key card for the new room while I was gone so that I could get it upon my return to the hotel in the afternoon. When I returned, nothing had been done and I had to wait until several people in front of me had completed their check-in process and the receptionist had found a room for me. Since it was late in the afternoon, choices were limited so that I could only get the choice between a room that was also relatively noisy and a room with a tall wall right in front of the window. 2. When the receptionist wanted to show me the rooms I was supposed to choose from, she always entered the elevator before I did. I did not mind very much, but realized that she had not been trained sufficiently.

Unfriendly staff. Only one towel (no hands towel). Very noisy room either because of car traffic or the tram that comes out of a tunnel like a plane landing from 5am to 11pm. Breakfast "mood" is still communist. Doing zero. Awful temperature in the mini room that gets annoyingly hot during the night or super noisy old AC, you choose the bad or the worse. Old too used matress that breaks your back drawning like falling into hell. Fat man room next door snoring the whole night and we hear it from our room's bed. Situation is ok like many others. Stairs broken and dirty. 3'5€ per night per person of revolutionary tax on a city visited mainly on a day tour from Vienna. Please, stand up and applause this garbage who decided to get rich like in medieval times. Once done, dont ever come back to Bratislava or, even more, dont ever come back to Ibis hotels.

Good location only a short stroll to Old Town . Also near Bratislava Castle and not far from river. Ideal location!! Found staff to be friendly and helpful!! Was typical Ibis room but maybe a little tired especially the bathroom.. probably time for a refurb !! Had no issues during our stay and would use this hotel again.

Well located budget hotel

This budget hotel is well located adjacent to the Old Town of Bratislava - within easy walking distance to the Castle also. Bare bones rooms - but suitable for a night where you’re not spending any time at the hotel anyway. Cost is not the cheapest for what you get, but it’s serviceable and central.
