Great experience at the Novotel, lovely staff

I stayed for a couple of nights at the Novotel Century in Hong Kong, and I had a great experience. Already from the check in, the staff was very helpful and kind, which made my stay much more pleasurable. The hotel is clean, has great breakfast and it's location is perfect to be able to explore Hong Kong, with many public transport options nearby. The hotel itself is great, but I think the staff and their helpfulness and kindness makes this hotel excelent. Looking forward to staying again!

Desolation!

Such desolation! I have been a loyal client of this hotel for the past 15 years, but this visit will be my last. The rooms are getting old and were too noisy. The quality of service has declined and is no longer customer-oriented. There was no attention to detail—nothing. The quality of the breakfast has also deteriorated; the hotel now provides only industrial food, and the coffee is far from meeting expectations. When I visited the lounge, it was empty, yet all the tables were covered with food waste. No one cleaned up until I asked. It seems that there is no one in charge of this hotel, and the staff are like sailors navigating a boat without a captain.

mid-range hotel, not tourist room rates

Well-priced mid-range hotel in a decent neighborhood. This was not a tourist area, and that's why it wasn't so expensive. There are two subway stations (different lines) within walking distance. 7-11 across the street to buy bottled water. Clean and updated rooms that weren't tiny like some Hong Kong hotel rooms. Check in and out process was efficient. We were advised that we could drink the tap water if boiled, so that's what we did with the kettle that was in the room. Within a block you had bakeries, small cafes and drugstores. If you walked 15 minutes, you could get to Causeway Bay, which was a major shopping area. Be aware that the line of taxis parked outside the hotel are not available for general use. I hopped into one and found out these taxis only go to the airport. A family member went to the hotel lunch buffet and thought it was good and worth the price. I would stay at Novotel if I visited HK again.

Central hotel with great hospitality

Novotel Century is located on the Hong Kong side or the river. Very close to MTR with connection to Central station where you can hit a metro to all around the city, also the airport. The hotel reception, restaurant and bar is nicely decorated and very clean. The service is also all around very polite and helpful. The rooms were unfortunaly a bit of a downer. Pretty old furnitures, for example the chair in the room connected to the desk with the TV on. The chair look like its been collected on a flee market. All in all a good hotel though.

Have stayed here several times and I'm always impressed with the efficiency of the hotel. Good location and breakfast spread. Evening cocktail at the lounge never fails to disappoint. Erika at the lounge is professional and tries her best to accommodate the requests of guests, especially on 27 Jan when I witnessed her having to deal with an unreasonable guest who brought his children below 16yo to the lounge for evening cocktail. It's clearly stated on the benefits sheet upon check in that children are welcome to enjoy all the benefits except evening cocktail, yet the guest insisted otherwise. As I was using the lounge and wanted some peace and quiet, I had to tell that guest I wanted some quiet time and the noise his children was making made it impossible.. Erika handled the situation well, and eventually I got the quiet time I needed.
