Nice hotel that we used as an overnight stop en route to the eurotunnel There was a small issue with cleanliness inasmuch as there were dried tomato pips on the floor, but not an insurmountable issue. We found the room rather small for our liking, so probably wouldn’t return Staff were very friendly and helpful without exception

This was planned as a simple overnight stop enroute to Calais. After an eventful journey we arrived very late in urgent need of a drink. The friendly staff kindly made sure we had the refreshments we needed before we retired. The rooms were as good as we expect from a well run chain. The main difference however was the helpfulness of the staff who assisted us while we resolved our logistical issues resulting from a puncture and abandoned vehicle.

Too expensive stay, small rooms

This is an overpriced hotel. Very small rooms and only one tiny towel (small combined hand and bath towel) per guest. Not specially friend staff in reception. The best is the restaurant with good food and friendly waiters. However the price of the hotel stay is much to high in relation to the quality of the delivery of being a guest. We were disappointed especially since we have more positive Experiences from other Ibis hotels in France.

Comfortable and convenient

Warm and comfortable overnight hotel. Reception staff were efficient and booking in stress free and slick. The room was small but very clean and comfortable, with thermostatic wall mounted controls for the ambient heating, though I still found the room rather warm. Owing to the main road just outside, the window could not be opened, but the room was absolutely quiet with the window closed..a triumph of the double glazers art! The bedding was the standard Ibis thick duvet and firm pillows, very clean and fresh. The shower unit had very safe level access which gave me no problems. The breakfast selection was extensive and impressive. A bit taken aback that diners had to boil their own eggs, and even though the timing instructions were in English , I decided not to bother! An excellent place for travellers to stop as it is to the west of Reims , just off the motorway, with main roads in all directions, so a quick and easy get away in the morning.

This is the low end of where I would normally stay. I think it's really important that the rating is compared to 'what it is'. And this is a budget hotel - and for the price, it does everything really well so def deserves it's rating. I even overslept (grrr) which shows how good the bed was. In particular: - you can park outside the door for free - super easy to access from the motorway - plenty of facilities in the area (massive supermarket over the road etc) - the breakfast was open at 6.30am (far from a given in France) - the Courtepaille restaurant which is attached actually serves really good food if you overlook the laminated chain restaurant menu (Chicken Caesar salad is great) - staff were friendly and responsive - room was clean and bed was (too) comfortable Most relevantly, it was 40% cheaper than the Novotel with which it shares a car park and 1/3 of the price of a 'nice hotel in Reims'. If all you are doing is stopping and sleeping, it really is perfect.
