Nice hotel with great staff, however, being woken up at 8am by drilling noises and then by housekeeping trying to come in the room despite the sign being on the door marred the experience. Overall, a good hotel, location not amazing if you're wanting the old town but quiet (except drilling) and comfortable.

Basic small room, easy check in. Shower pressure good, but very small space, kept knocking my elbow... If you want a convenient place for 1 night to dump your luggage, then walk to Königsallee and walk the Xmas market then this hotel serves it's purpose, as it did for me.

The hotel is located at the train station, very easy to find and very practical. 10 minutes by train from the airport and a few minutes from the old town. There is a big gallery inside the train/subway station with lots of stores and small restaurants. The check-in and check-out were fast and the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was a bit outdated and even if it was a non-smoking room, there was a bad smell of cigarette inside. It was very basic inside the room, a TV with a few German channels, I didn't find any international TV channels and a hair dryer inside the bathroom. The room was very clean. The air conditioning was working well but quite noisy. Around 5 a.m., the train noises woke me up. The night was quiet but once the first train, I couldn't sleep anymore. The breakfast buffet was good. There was a small but good choice of products, breads, croissants, fruits, cheeses, eggs, bacon, juices, and freshly made waffles,...... The bad side was, from the morning to the evening all the drunk homeless laid on the ground just in front of the hotel.

Had a good stay here for one night on business purpose. It wasn't my first stay here, as it is in a good location, clean and calm. Only in some corners it could use some upgrades, like new carpeting and stuff like that. Nonetheless my room was as expected and clean.

Altogether a great Ibis experience

There is nothing bad to say about the Ibis Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. I've been here for a week. The location obviously couldn't be better for transport. I've been using Düsseldorf as a base from which to visit Cologne, Essen, Duisburg, and Bonn. Not to mention THE hub for getting around Düsseldorf itself. Friendly staff, quiet rooms, comfortable bed, good hot water and water pressure. I've stayed in Ibis all over France, Spain, Germany, and Belgium. This particular Ibis has among the largest Ibis rooms I've ever seen, maybe only Montpellier Comedie has larger ones. I've been very happy here.
