We had the best stay at hotel mercure Wien Zentrum. The room was clean, great beds and a nice bathroom. The location is in the city center, walking distance from shops, history and nice parks. The staff is very friendly and the beakfast amazing. And.. one of the best experiences here was the guided city tour guided by Regina, she did a terrific job showing us Vienna!

The room size and equipment is totally ok. At our stay it was really good weather so we’ve got 18 degree. But the air condition was off, we had to open the window, which ends in noisy night. Our biggest favorite was the free off charge tour around the city center guided by Katharina. That was amazing and offered by the hotel.

The hotel and its staff are quite satisfactory. Take the free walking tour of the neighborhood if you can. See and learn things not on usual itinerary. The guide on March 2 was very friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The advertise 2-hour tour lasted precisely 2 hours.

This hotel is perfectly situated for those wanting to see the sites near Stephensplatz but also wanting to take the train around the city. The staff in the hotel was always friendly. Rooms are on the small side but are comfortable. The windows open, which was helpful since the room could be a bit warm. The shower is also small, and you need to be careful not to have it overflow. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were always cleaned and replenished (a very nice job by cleaning staff) Stephensplatz is a short walk away, as is the Graben. Both the Schwedenplatz (U1 and U4) and Stephensplatz (U1 and U3) stations are within a short walking distance. Many trams also run out of the Schwedenplatz station, so getting to museums and concert halls is easy. There is a spar a block away, which is convenient for picking up more water or treats.

Nice place to stay until the fire alarm sounds

This hotel is very central, within a short walk of several "must see" attractions and tram and underground stations. The rooms are clean and well serviced. The breakfast was wonderful as was the evening menu. The staff are pleasant and very welcoming and helpful. A couple of points to note: our room was the smallest hotel room we had ever stayed in. The bathroom is a WC with a sliding glass door. Very, very small. We notified the hotel prior to arrival that a guest with mobility issues was to be expected. We were accommodated on the 5th floor, a small walk from the elevator. This was ok until, on our second evening the fire alarm sounded and no one came to assist. My wife made it down 2 floors, she was unable to go further. The elevators were of course not to used because of the alarm. I ran to reception where I was informed that the issue was a false alarm but no one offered assistance. I ran back up 3 floors to my wife and it took 20 minutes for us to reach our room. This was all very distressing and frightening. This hotel needs to review its fire alarm arrangements and update its evacuation procedures.
