A comfortable & convenient place in old Montpellier!

This was a lovely hotel. We stayed 4 nights in October. Room was spacious enough and had AC (it was still hot this month). Very quiet and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious enough, but I do not like that there is NO place to put your things in the shower - there's just this little, round soap holder that is completely useless. It's so annoying - why can't hotels give you some ledge or shelf space in the shower area to place your things - ugh! The breakfast was terrifice!! It's in a room down in the basement, which is cheerful, spacious, and cozy. The selections are very good!! You can choose from all kinds of breads, cereals, eggs, yogurt, fruits, jams, pastries, toast, crepes, juices..... There are two coffee machines that provide good, quality coffees of your choosing and a great selection of teas. The breakfast is probably the best part. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's located right in the Triangle of the older and charming part of Montpellier where there are many shops and gorgeous old-style streets lined with outdoor dining. It's also walking distance to the train station and the trams run right by there, so it's VERY convenient to everything. I highly recommend this hotel and where it's located.

I always check in IBIS MONTPELLIER triangle place de la comedie and next to Polygone center . I have even sometimes showed up without pre booking hence they were supportive. It is literally in the heart of the city just exactly where everyone would like to be when visiting Montpellier.

We stayed here for one night in January 2023. As with all Ibis hotels, you know what you're going to get and this hotel was as we expected. The room was fairly basic with few extras, ie no safe, no tea and coffee facilities. However, the bed was comfortable and, even though our room looked out over a public plaza, there was no noise. The buffet breakfast was also somewhat basic compared with other breakfasts that we have had in France. However, there was an adequate range. The location of this hotel was good, just a 10-minute walk from the railway station (up a slight slope) and right beside the Galeries Lafayette shopping centre with lots of shops, although it was closed on Sunday (like almost everything else in Montpellier). Beside the hotel there is a Carrefour supermarket and there are plenty of restaurants around. There is a small bar in the hotel that offers drinks and pizzas. The service in this hotel was polite and friendly. That made a difference.

Perfect location as a base to south of France

The location was the star here. It is very close to the mall, the square and metro and public transportation. Has a good parking garage that links directly to the hotel. It has a Carrefour just at the ground level and several restaurants at a truly short walk. It was an excellent location to explore both the city, on foot and public transportation, and drive through the incredibly beautiful south of France. By the way, I almost forgot, the room, the beds and the bathroom were par for the course.

We were there on 2 sept 2022 in room 301 Hotel staff were great (reception team and the supervisor were awesome) Location is perfect Breakfast 👌🏻 And rooms are bigger than any hotel in paris I will surely go back again to ibis comedie.
