Wet season Darwin. Roof cover not available for entire walk from reception to accommodation building, got wet. Took 15 mins to get through to reception to get courtesy vehicle pick-up from airport.

Was lovely and clean and quite. Would of been great if the pool was open really think should of got a discount because couldn't use the pool.

Heard all about this hotel being updated, brand new swimming pool, mod cons etc. When we checked into the Hotel the first thing we said was that we couldn't wait to go into the new pool only to be told that it was "closed" due to maintenance issues - I've checked online, this maintenance issue has been ongoing for over a month - so disappointed, we were looking forward to using the new pool, told to use the pool over at the other hotel - too many people in that pool on the occasions that we did try to go have a swim. I believe we should have been compensated or offered a visitors pass to use the new pool in future. The room that we had was so dated! Decor was old, bed was hard as a rock. Bathroom was also dated, water streaming out onto the floor, making it slippery getting out. No carpark in the hotel, had to park across the road where the hire cars were located, to far to walk back to the hotel, overall very disappointing.

I’ll advised regarding maintenance issues with the newly constructed resort pool at the Novotel

Main attraction was the newly constructed resort pool, but there is ongoing maintenance issues rendering it unavailable and we never received written information or a telephone call regarding the issue prior to checking in. It was disappointing and we were not the only family who expressed dissatisfaction, evidently a number of families approached staff regarding the very same issue. Coming from the hospitality industry it is recommended a policy review should be conducted surrounding communication and concerns especially for a multi-million dollar project that is unusable after much planning and money has been invested. Simply a laminated card posted on the glass entry door for guests stating that the swimming pool is unusable was not good enough. I believe NTAPL ‘s CEO needs to take control over the matter as simply the operations manager for the airport resort whom I believe must be on a six figure salary is not up to the job. A laminated card stating pool is undergoing ‘Plant Maintenance’ with no end date is not good enough. I am connected with a number of local businesses and I will be honest in my opinion with my experience if I am ever asked. I hope this mail is taken well to improve the amenities. Cleanliness and staff were amazing, and I hope a policy review is undertaken to fix the major issue. Regards Alex
