The hotel looks great online and has a great position in town but is shabby around the edges and let down by long overdue maintenance and necessary updates. The pool area is in need of updating and the pool has many tiles missing and felt pretty tired. The carpets in the common areas of our floor were old and dirty and really need replacing. Rooms are small and although have had some furniture refreshed the bathroom was tatty. Used room delivery trays with food scraps left outside the room next door to ours remained there for the entire 19hrs of our one night stay from mid afternoon to the next morning. I wasn't going to bother reviewing the hotel or complaining but I kept receiving annoying emails asking me to review my stay. Breakfast was well a pretty good hotel breakfast but one staff member and I wish I knew her name was outstanding and wonderful.

Unfortunately I had to leave before actually staying in the room due a family illness. The reception and concierge staff were wonderful in assisting me to get away quickly - especially having my car bought up prior to me requesting. Thank you. I will be back.

Nice central location to everything

Well located but first room offered had water leak. Breakfast could have been explained better perhaps in a notice in room to save time by 'help yourself' service. Waiting staff should gave deep plastic tray tubs to safely & quickly clear tables
