Overall a great experience but a few things could be approved to make it even better

Regarding the pillows, we offer alternative options at reception, including softer or firmer ones, to accommodate different preferences. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the smell of our hand soap and shower gel. I saw quite a few negative reviews so was a bit concerned. However.. We stayed room 419 overlooking the street and residential life in Berlin. Lovely. The fridge and microwave were a little dirty but nothing a few cleaning wipes couldn't sort. Bed comfy, linen crisp. Hot water a little temperamental but managed. Mostly it was ok. WiFi v good, had to sign back in daily but not a problem and I didn't need to do a review (like I did in most cafes). Well located. Short walk from nearest sbahn route from the airport (s9) which has lovely cafes and bakeries nearby. The manager (I think he was sorry can't remember his name) was friendly and welcoming as were his colleagues. Check in and out quick. We used the luggage storage too. The Easter Bunny chocolate a special touch..but had to share ;) They sell beers, drinks and snacks at reception which are reasonable priced. Didn't have breakfast as we preferred a simple latte and croissant and latte at Einstein and Coffee nearby sbahn Station. A lidl and edeka are nearby. The latter the best option great. You can also recycle there and get your fee back. Great stay and will stay again for sure! Thank you.

The adagio is well situated in a quiet area not too far far from shops and restaurants. There is a Lidl supermarket close by for any essentials needed. The aparthotel is modern and the studio was well equipped, nice big fridge and even a small dishwasher which was a bonus. Plenty of shelves and hanging space for clothes and a safe inside the wardrobe for keeping valuables in. Also an iron and ironing board. Nice bathroom with big walk in shower. Everything is cleaned in between guest visits but not during your stay although I think you can pay extra for this and you can get clean towels from reception as required. Overall we had a good stay but did find the room quite warm particularly at night, had to leave the window open all the time as couldn’t seem to regulate temperature from dial in the room. The staff in the adagio were friendly and helpful.

Decent area close to the Kurfürstendam shopping street, modern hotel, but dirty

The hotel lies just a block away from the Shopping street, close to a Lida, Edeka and Rewe, which have a great food selection if you decide to prepare your meals in the small kitchen in the room. The kitchen is well appointed, with most utensils you need. The rooms is a decent size, smaller bathroom, but manageable. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the reception can get very busy and then they are understaffed as they also help in the breakfast room. Breakfast is of moderate quality and for the additional price, I'm not sure if I would recommend this. The hotel was quite busy, meaning that every morning something was not available, plates, cutlery, etc. They need more staff to sort this out. Internet is Ok, but I find it strange that you need to give them a rating every day when you need to log in again, and even when I raised my concern about the rooms being dirty every day of my stay, no one bothered to check up on it or contact me. Warm water in the bathroom has it's own mined, it's hot, cold, luke warm, must be a problem with the hot water layout of the hotel. Really not ideal, had a very luke warm twice out of 5 nights. My biggest concern is that your room is not serviced and cleaned properly. They only service your room every 7 days of your stay, which I find a bit strange. The hotel is also not clean and if you look at the flooring and a bit closer you find the all the public areas need a good clean. Same goes for the rooms. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, the kitchen floor was dirty, the walls are dirty, stained with old food, what you can think of. I requested that they please clean the room properly, twice, but this was ignored. The rooms are grimy, never properly cleaned and if you move a few things around in the room, expect lots of dirt. But it is not only that, the walls are all dirty, and it just fees dirty. If I had not pre-paid the accommodation, I would have moved hotels. If they clean the hotel and rooms properly, I would have given the hotel a 8 or maybe a 9 if they improve on the breakfast and service. Based on how dirty the rooms are, this hotel will never see me again, which is a pity as I liked the self-catering layout of the rooms and it is in a good area. For the money spend, there away better and cleaner options in the area.
