There was no shortage of staff at every corner available to help and answer questions that I had for my first trip to India. The breakfast buffet had a good amount of options. I was confused by the hours of the bar next to the lobby - there are signs that say the lounge is open 24x7, then there are complimentary drinks from 6:00- 8:00pm - but then I never saw anyone else in there after 8pm. I tried to go for a drink at 9pm one night even though I was the only one in there and although there are seats at the bar, I was ushered to some lounge furniture to sit at instead of the bar. This might be an American thing - but I also noticed at the pool restaurant - there is a long bar, but no bar stools to sit at. As someone who travels frequently for work, being able to sit at a bar and have a drink/meal/appetizer is a much better experience than having to sit at a table for one. Something to consider for a hotel that services many international visitors!

Inspite of the initial troubles we had with OCI, we had a great time staying at Novotel. The reception staff Aniana who helped us with the check in and checkout process was professional, caring and empathetic towards us. She is a great asset to the company and we’ll definitely be coming back and staying at Novotel next time we visit Bangalore mainly due to the excellent service we received from Aniana.
