Perfect second home whilst away on business. AJ and staff are professional and very attentive. Some of the rooms have fantastic views of the harbour. Highly recommend.

Its not worth it staying at ibis Darlinghurst for following reasons 1. There is no centralised aircon in the hotel. So when you enter in the hotel lobby/ corridor ( no window for fresh air & no aircon to keep it fresh) it was very suffocating. So was the room. You need to turn on the room aurcon manually and it takes ages to freshen up the room. I m sure window aircon would be atleast 20 years old if not more. 2. Though they mention the room size but I found it to be very small for 2 person. Literally not enough space to move around the bed. 3. Entry to the car park is which paid $20 per night is much more difficult than driving in Mumbai or Beijing streets. I wish I would have spent extra 200-$300 for my 4 nights trip and stayed somewhere at better place.

The location of the hotel is just brilliant, within walking distance (max 30 mn) to all the major sights, right next to the subway trains and buses, and a couple minutes away from a supermarket, restaurants, bars etc. without being too noisy. The laundry room was a huge bonus, and room 102 is truly fab with a comfy double bed and a sofa bed in a separate room like a suite. Would go again and I absolutely recommend it!

The room problems (leaks, cockroach infestation), inadequate room cleaning (bed sheets and covers not changed, toilet not cleaned at all), noisy other guests in the middle of the night, etc. were generally terrible. I felt that this hotel especially needs to be managed by the department responsible at the headquarters. I will not stay at Ibis budget sydney east anymore, but will stay at other hotels in the future.
