On check in I asked to have my credit card charged at the end of my stay as is the case with all other hotels and platinum privileges the front office person said no I asked her to check and came back with yes ok but it was charged overnight The hotel struggles as most people second language is English and sorry to say the staff in general don’t understand My first room air conditioner didn’t work I was upgraded which was nice but the room service was woeful had to change up towels and bed linen The hotel is old and desperately needs a refresh

Had a couple day lay -ver. found this hotel convenient to trains, and a nice walkable neighborhood. Staff friendly and helpful, and the room nice. Just what we needed after a LONG Trip.

The hotel room was significantly below the standards of a Novotel. You should rebrand this hotel to Ibis. The fridge was not turned on, the air conditioning was not turned on, there was no air flow in the bathroom. The fittings in the room were either broken or falling off the wall. There was no mini bar or utensils. The lighting was too low. I have no issue with budget hotels, however Novotel is not priced or marketed as a budget hotel. Disappointed.

My flight was cancelled and I had to stay at Novotel Auckland instead of Sydney. Novotel Sydney wouldn't refund me my room though. Pretty poor form.
