We’re so happy they have Czech Budweiser and not the other one!!!!!! And jaeger. They have paper straws great for environment. Pizza is so yummy yummy yummy. Marta is the best receptionist ever please give her a raise<3 BETTER THAN NOVOTEL!!!!!

We had booked a "sweet dreams" room with allegedly a better bed and free drinks; that was not what we or anyone else who booked these rooms received. It was a tiny, back room, dark, dingy, with a tiny window over which was a sheer curtain attached to the window frame by velcro! The bathroom is a pod, a unit inside the room that floods and smells like a sewer and we could hear everyone flushing all night (the plumbing is inadequate for the number of rooms)! The Tv was off schedule. The staff had some inadequate members and some who did try.

The good: Location - close to the train station and to the shops. Right in the beating heart of Reading city center. Clean - relatively ok'ish TV was great and functioned perfectly. The Bad Value for money - paid over 110 gbp for one night in this hotel which is a very low class. Supply and demand as usual. Sharing a room means you hear every and I mean every little noise made in the bathroom also in the room. Even with TV on. Ibis concept of plastic bathroom does not give a sense of luxury - but quite the opposite. Water current in the shower was poor. Hotel said they will look into it. I believe this is the standard 'we save money here - please don't wash your long hair and consider it as contribution to the environment' Towels - no hand towel. Twin beds - beds are small and not that great. Cheap and cheerful style. The lobby is not more than overrated corridor with chairs. Not giving a great vibe - although one can see that someone invested quite a bit of money in the decor and furniture. It just doesn't work. Don't plan on having business meetings there - unless you have to. A few hours a day - in the morning - there is a scent of overflow toilets in the lobby and elevator area

Stayed 4 nights and had an overall good stay. Breakfast was good as ever. Helena's team are very good, making every effort to ensure the breakfast experience is good. Tegan is particularly good. Gema and Marta on reception were very helpful.
