Positif : well situated, nice view over the canal Négatif : not family friendly welcoming/staff, heavy old fashioned decoration with very dusty carpet floor and curtains, not clean with large stains on the chairs and sofas in the family room, is this ok when showing 4* ??? The building is terrible although that’s not the staff’s fault. Very small square shaped windows, room feels like a box or… a cell

I often break my journey from UK with a stay at the Mercure before completing my trip by train. The staff are always helpful, the room is always clean and comfortable and I find it a good way to destress after what can be challenging inward journeys.

Normal relations with the staff, that can be qualified as pretty good, nevertheless without any special nor spectacular trial to exceed customer expectations during the breakdown preventing the use of the television.
