The room was hot, when we asked for a blanket instead of the doona they didn't have any, so they gave us extra sheets. Breakfast was very limited for gluten free, there was bread which could be toasted but the scrambled eggs looked greasy, not appetising. We would give this hotel 3.5 stars not 4.

Most atrocious service, ever

Absolutely atrocious. It calls itself a 4 star hotel, advertises air conditioning on its own website, advertises room service (or just food) until 2300 and both of the above are false advertising. No air con available despite unseasonally warm weather. Kitchen closes at 2130 and the sole staff member manning the bar/gallery restaurant doesn’t care. Reception staff are nonchalant, shrugging in response to most issues and management probably cares even less. Don’t bother staying here, ever. Budapest is a beautiful city, but these people are single handedly ruining its reputation and bring embarrassment to its nation

The hotel is beautiful, staff friendly and we enjoyed the location, not being right in the centre of everything. The room was small and very hot and the fan was too noisy to have on in the evening.

We stayed in the hotel for three nights, and the overall experience was very disappointing. The room was not cleaned properly, I could see someone’s hair on the walls in the bathroom (please reach out for pictures). The hair didn’t get cleaned even after we pointed out the problem at the reception. The temperature in the room was extremely uncomfortable, air conditioning didn’t work properly. After our complaint, the windows were open but it didn’t help much and only added noise from outside at night. Shower also was not working well. To use it, you need to open the tap fully, and even with that water was coming from both shower and the tap, which is not as all sustainable. All these problems were pointed out at the reception, and nothing was done, except for opening the windows. We also booked a half-board, and the dinner menu didn’t change throughout our stay. The main course didn’t have any vegetarian options, but we were offered something outside of the menu. One day the food we received was uncooked and had to be redone. Overall, these things made our stay very uncomfortable and didn’t meet our expectations.

Everyone in the staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel has a historical building which is very impressive! We got an upgrade to a room with the view of the city and very nice surprise as it were celebrating our birthday during our stay! I can definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice stay! It's 10 min walking to the jewish quarter which has some nice restaurants and bars.
