issue with payment and the serviced we received in relation to it was quite disappointing. There was a lot of poor communication from staff which added an unnecessary stress to our holiday when travelling with a young baby.

The room was ok it could do with a bit more of a model fill. The TV remote did not work effectively and the shower was way too small. Curtains need to be repaired as they did not completely close out the light.

We visited Melbourne to attend 7 shows at the Comedy Festival. Novotel is very close to Town Hall where many of the shows are held and also an easy walk to other comedy venues. We ate breakfasts in the iconic laneways & had dinner at several great restaurants.

The room was nice and we enjoyed a view into the centre of the building ageist to the pool & gym. Our initial experience was not so great as we couldn't see anywhere to drive into to Valet, and ended up deciding we'll need to self park, but that was its own adventure as we joined 3 other cars who managed to get stuck in the full car park with no idea of what to do until the valet drivers came through with some vehicles. They were very courteous and helpful but I feel an email leading up to our stay would great to explain the parking better, as the initial website I was looking at (from the booking) to understand the parking had no information, I had to google the question on parking at the hotel to find better info. Once we were checked in our stay was good. The only suggestion I would say is for reception to be a bit more forthcoming with information. I come from a front office background and the service was very minimal when it comes to information. I wasn't told about the restaurant or breakfast options & didn't even know there was buffet breakfast available until the checked out!
