Only issue was that the train tracks where on our side of the building, so it was rather loud and we had the choice of a warm and sticky room or a noisy one. But then, if you book a hotel near the station, you often get trains. Just our luck that the weather was so warm.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was quiet and I liked the very high ceiling, it was very airy. The hotel was well located near the Hauptbahnhof and the Alster. The staff were very polite and helpful. I really appreciated the noon check-out time. The breakfast was also excellent.

V Solo - Confirmed reviews ALL

I very, very rarely give anyone 10/10. The hotel was comfortable and clean, the staff friendly. It's a 5 minute walk to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and a pleasant 10-15 minute walk along by the Außenalster & Binnenalster to the city centre. My room even had a corner view of the Außenalster. But that's not enough for a 10. Customer service is only really tested when something goes wrong. When my flight home was cancelled, and I needed to extend my stay, the receptionist made sure it was in the same room, and printed out my boarding pass for me (2 copies because I was feeling paranoid). When I returned home and was struggling to extract expenses from Ryanair (who refused to accept a single receipt for more than one night, said I was submitting 'duplicates' & insisted on separate receipts for each night) I emailed the hotel who promptly sent me separate receipts. That merits a 10. Not for the orignal booking. But for the extended stay.
