It was fine - we have stayed there many times before to break our journies - but renovation is overdue. As we were a couple, I was surprised to learn that my Silver Card benefit of a welcome drink was only for one person and at a minimalistic level.

Halfway between London and Bordeaux, and with the superb La Suite restaurant next door, the comfortable and clean Ibis is perfect for our regular overnight stay. We have been coming here for nearly 20 years.

We have stayed in many Ibis hotels in France and this one had the usual positives; helpful and friendly staff, good beds, central location. However our room was in need of renovation. It was very tired looking, especially the bathroom. The hotel deserves more attention from Accor.
