Pillows are hard but that is not the problem. Approximately 14 emails...and numerous ohjne calls, messed up reservations over and over again right uo until the day of check-in. Now I hot receipts for our stay which totalled about $500 but my credit card was charged close to $10000. Very unhappy with having to keep calling and trying to fix things over and over again.

Dear Gurjinder s., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Novotel Ottawa City Centre. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; however please be advised that within your groups, there was a big miscommunication regarding the number of people and accompanying names and unfortunately to the safety policies we could not hand keys to whoever their kind name wasn't added by the main booker. I believe we did try our best by accommodating the whole group with free early check-in although the names weren't added or mentioned during the process, and handled around 100 luggage, backpacks, and plastic bags at the check-in and at the checkout. I appreciate your understanding that we have to make sure that our operations run smoothly and fairly for all our guests at the hotel and we appreciate your team's patience. At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. Check in was smooth. Very friendly and warm receptionist. I checked in my room and I found a purse in the safe with CAD 5x $20's and 1 $10. I returned it to the receptionist when I checked out. Appreciate if all the cleaning/room service attendants will thoroughly check and clean the rooms before it is ready for the new guest.

the location is excellent! the service was very fast. the standard bedroom was a good size and i appreciated that we could open the window to get some fresh air as the room had a stuffy smell when i walked in. everything was clean. the bed and pillows were a little hard to my liking so i had a hard time sleeping at night.

Booked two nights - first room checked in - the bathroom garbage was not emptied - filled with used female hygiene products - and on the bedside table a used ear q-tip. So called front desk to voice complaint- sent a worker to confirm the garbage- once confirmed moved my daughter and I. This second room was an adjoining room - 4 LOUD occupants travelling with a large group. At 10:20 pm I personally asked the group to be quiet. They did not. I called security twice for loud music and voices. Security attended twice - noise continued till 1:00 am. At 7 am I requested to be moved and begged for a quiet room - this was done. Was a huge inconvenience , disruptive with no compensation - a so sorry was provided and stated an investigation would be done. Regardless I paid full price , tired, annoyed and impacted the quality of our whole trip. Horrible experience.
