PKEM Couples - TripAdvisor review

My wife and I stayed for one night, as we had a connecting flight out of Miami airport the following day. For this purpose, the hotel was fine and it was a good location close to the airport. The hotel itself is a little tired in terms of decor, but the room was well appointed for what we needed. The pool area was great and this is a real plus for this hotel. We had drinks in the bar and some bar food in the evening, although sadly, the restaurant was not open. The staff were excellent and really made us feel welcome with great service. My overall rating reflects that the hotel needs a refurb and it was disappointing that the restaurant was shut.

KD7152 Couples - TripAdvisor review

This hotel is very close to the airport- bonus. We arrived at 3 pm super quick check in. Lobby area is attractive but stair carpet a little thread bear. Room smelt damp and in need of an update. Dark and gloomy. Coffee machine didn’t work and one of the lights didn’t work. We made use of the pool and it has a great view and disability chair for access to the pool. Not enough beds around the pool and it looked like people had gone and just left their towels in situ using the few beds there was. Restaurant looked lovely, only to be told it was shut. So you eat bar food in the bar area and hope you get a seat at a high table and not just one of the coffee tables. Food was a mixed bag. Bar staff were friendly. We would not return.

The mattress was very uncomfortable and literally gave me back pain. The walls had such a poor sound proofing that I could easily hear a lot of noises from neighboring rooms. There were fruit flies flying out of the bathroom sink.

The hotel room was sizable and clean. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. The room was dated: no fan in bathroom, popcorn ceilings, etc.

Wonderful staff. Everyone was very kind and informative. Extremely helpful. Shuttle to and from airport is a wonderful perk. Pool and location was very nice. Hotel is outdated. Some outlets by bed did not work. Hot water in sink was sparce but shower ran fine.
