Nightmare support experience

Absolute lack of empathy mixed with comical incompetence. Avoid this place! We stayed here a few nights in April and left a very important medical device in the room by accident. We have tried contacting them an hour after checkout to see if we can pick it up / have them send it. After a day of not picking up, when they finally answer: they confirmed that they have our item and told us to send an email about it with pre-authorization so that they can ship it. This sounded like the end of the story, but unfortunately it still isn't. Since then we've spent more than half a month begging them to send the item or respond to the email, but they're ignoring both the emails and the phone calls. The few times we actually do get through to them (this requires constant call attempts for several hours) they either mention that "oh yes we will look at the emails" then hang up without helping, or don't even bother with that and say "please wait a minute" then hang up on us after being on hold for 10 minutes. Now it got to the point that they just hang up on us after the first word. These people are scammers. We also stressed that this is an important medical device but it doesn't seem to matter. You can expect a lot better customer service from most 2 star hotels than this place, avoid supporting them.

My partner & I were visiting Paris for the first time & the staff at the Mercure made us feel welcomed when we arrived to check in. They were always happy to assist & make our stay one to remember! The location is also perfect as we were able to walk most places without any issues. Additionally, we are eternally grateful that we were allocated a room with an Eiffel Tower view as this made our stay so magical. A huge thank you to your staff for absolutely everything they do.

Look, hotel room was okay, but this is definitely not 4-star accommodation: room decor, unlike in the photos, was really cheap / tacky (this hotel is part Ibis too, apparently?); vending machines downstairs looked convenient but charged a $50 deposit (!!!) that, also apparently, is refunded in 48 hours?! No toiletries at all included in the room's bathroom except a budget-looking pump shower gel. And half the exterior lift buttons worked. Staff were friendly, which was nice, but the actual hotel room was pretty disappointing.

If you plan to do tourist activities around Paris this is a superb hotel - the location is 2 minute walk from the nearest Metro and you can also easily walk to a lot of points of interest. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Room was nice with a great view of Sacré Coeur. The toilet being in a different room to the wash basin seemed strange to me as a British tourist and the shower didn’t always stay at a consistent temperature. Neither had much of an impact on my stay. Also other British tourists are advised to bring their own mini-milk sachets as the rooms don’t have any and the staff seemed quite confused when we asked for them - we had to get a glass of milk from the restaurant and store it in our fridge. Again not a big deal but worth thinking about!

Great stay - fantastic location, lovely communal areas amd good breakfast. Room was a it of a let down compared to the rest of the hotel - carpets are awful and the shower was useless.
