My taxi driver took me to the wrong hotel and I had to walk 2 blocks to this hotel. If taking a taxi make sure the driver knows the address and doesn't just go by the hotel's name. I would suggest pre-booking transportation from the airport via booking.com or utilizing Uber because my experience with the taxi queue at the airport was not pleasant. The airport employee I seemed to have a scam running with the taxi drivers and they tried to overcharge me. I had the address of my hotel but I guess the driver thought he knew which hotel it was and ended up taking me to the wrong hotel. I used booking.com to book transport for my return home and there were no issues to report. The rooms were small but adequate. Not many of the staff speak English. The hotel was clean and there was an onsite restaurant. The hotel is maybe a 10 or 15-minute walk to the beach. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. I felt safe at this location. Good stay and a great price.

Loved the hotel it was beautiful we had a room on 16th floor view was amazing. The staff were very accommodating Sue-ellen was amazing her English was brilliant nothing was too much for her. We dealt more with her she is a very good asset to ibis , The security was top notch not that we ever felt at risk but they tried to speak to us in English. Which I thought was lovely. The food in the hotel was lovely very reasonable prices. The only negative is maybe have more menus available for people waiting to look at in queue. Saves a lot of time. From when I booked the hotel I communicated about my sisters birthday they responded straight away and when we arrived they brought up a lovely card wine & chocolates for my sister. Really a lovely hotel would definitely stay again

Ibis is always the best at the price, and the staff is consistently delightful and helpful. In travel outside USA, I always look for Ibis, and the staff is a big reason. A very special front desk agent at this property is Joana, with her bright smile and genuine concern. A welcome site every day!

Thank you so much Receptionist Carlos and his team for making my birthday stay wonderful. I had a welcoming check-in experience and a surprise birthday treat in my room. A little thing makes a big difference. The room is clean, and quite. It is my first time experience Ibis brand, I totally enjoyed this hotel with complimentary breakfast everyday, 24/7 on demand bar, especially its location near metro station, convenient to access all Rio popular destinations. The reception team is very helpful to ensure you have a good time not only in the hotel also providing the info to explore Rio. The price is so affordable during the month of November. Def will come back again.

For an international hotel, was surprised by the limited english spoken by some of the front office staff. They could certainly have been friendlier. The hotel itself is adequate. They had a really good lunch buffet one afternoon which I would recommend. The location is also a reasonable walking distance from the beach.
