This was my first trip to Gladstone (business trip). I was pleasantly surprised by the Mantra. I would stay here again. It was modern, with large, clean and spacious rooms. Bed and pillows were comfortable, with good water pressure, pleasant toiletries, and nice weighty towels. Quiet neighbourhood. The location feels very out-of-town / in the suburbs. It's not an inviting area to walk around, or to leave the complex on-foot after dark. You would want to have a car. I don't think there's any room service (there was no booklet in the room anyway), and the in-house restaurant is a buffet only. I didn't eat there, but it looked like a decent quality buffet. Note, there are pokies in the open-plan lobby.

Just a shout out to the crew who worked 29/03/2024 (Good Friday Public Holiday). You were busy with a skeleton crew and did a fantastic job! Especially Fiona at the front desk who went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed over lunch, the one chef who was on that day that made a delicious dinner and carbonara for me for lunch, and, apologies for not getting your name, the person who served me during dinner, not your usual spot, but you were brilliant. Thank you so much!

Room was a great size for a family. Plenty of room for bags etc. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was great! Friendly staff. Only downfall was no secure parking and a mini bar fridge. It was too tiny for kids foods or spare drinks. No freezer. We’d stay again.

Terrible food,dirty room. Drainage in shower were so bad we had to turn off the tap for not flooding the bathroom. Hair all over the bathroom floor. Room not clean. The dinner were the worst we ever had. Refuse to believe a qualified chef prepared those dishes served at the buffet. Paid $88 for it

I have already discussed with the Maintenance team to clean out the bathroom drain and discussed with the Housekeepers the level of cleanliness mentioned. I am sorry that these issues were not brought to my attention when I checked you out of the hotel as we could have discussed these components that need rectifying. Hotel is lovely, new & modern with spacious rooms with kitchens but it is a bit out of the way, quite far from centre of town & hard to find. They are a joint enterprise with Yaralla Sports Club & were having building works done when we stayed so it was hard to find main entrance due to this combined business.
