I was upgraded to a family room which was very roomy, comfortable and included two televisions.. The hotel is located near the centre of town with quite a few eateries close by including Mercure's own restaurant which was very nice. Friendly and efficient staff.

We got a last minute room after a long drive from Canberra. Great location near the river. Reception staff were friendly. The room was small and a little dated but well appointed and clean with everything you need. Bed was super comfy, shower was hot, blackout blinds were great. Kettle and toaster for a quick in-room brekkie. As the hotel is old (heritage listed) the floors are extremely creaky in the corridors so you will hear people walking up and down at all hours. My daughter loved the quaint lift. Might stay again.

I wont be back) red stains on carpet, dirt on sheets, carpet needs replacing, curtains have rips. Terrible! Paint from walls is peeling off, looks dirty, build up of dirt on steps, cant believe it Internet is so slow,after reading orher reviews, mine seems minor

Saturday 20 January 2024. We were greeted warmly by reception staff who gave us bottles of water after our very long drive. The room was spacious and suited us. Our dining experience in the restaurant was outstanding. We were welcomed by Bree who went out of her way to help us choose wine and offered suggestions about our main meal. She even suggested that one of the menu items my wife chose was possibly too "big" for one person. Throughout the night she was polite and attentive without being intrusive. Thanks Bree

I travelled 9 hours today to arrive at this hotel at 12:55. I went to reception and said I am checking in, only to be given a real filthy look and told rooms aren't ready till 14:00. I have stayed at accorr properties all over Australia and never received such a poor response. I am a Silver member working towards gold and cam get a late check out. I was surprised by the rudeness so explained I sent a email last week about my arrival time. The rude manager came out and said Subject to availability and we'll call you if ready before 14:00. Told him don't bother I'll stay somewhere else and he seemed happy to give me a full refund. I would have been happy to wait the hour but the rudeness. Go do some customer service training or quit if you hate hour job that much
