We were upgraded due to our Accor membership and enjoyed a large spacious room with late checkout. The bed was very comfortable, and the 8th floor looked like it had been freshly renovated. We walked our bags from the hotel (about 300m) to the train station to take the overnight luxury train to Sapa ( horrendous, see my separate review). We only stayed one night and would stay again if in the area.

The Mercury Hotel in Vietnam exceeded all my expectations! The location was absolutely perfect, offering easy access to all the must-see attractions. What truly made my stay exceptional was the incredibly attentive and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, making me feel truly welcome. I can't wait to visit again!

Booked through British Airways as one of their Chosen accommodation places . I think it must have been a while since they were quality checked . We tried to up grade on BA ‘s web pages and also on the hotel’s site but could not find a way to do this . Our Daughter joined us for a few days and couldn’t even get her self a room on the hotels site , on arrival , we found plenty of rooms available but the up grade price was collosial . And There was plenty of rooms our daughter could have had , she booked in around the corner , to be near to us . Any way , slept reasonably well and just used the hotel as a quick stop over in the city. We Dined out . Lobby bar was the Usual hotel cut , service charge for 2 of the most frothy small beers made the total very expensive. Door jockeys had a smile , and had great local knowledge. Would we stay again .. No Handy for the train Station. Sum of the parts didn’t add up for us .

Lovely hotel and excellent staff throughout the Hanoi hotel. Thank you to all the helpful staff at breakfast, and in particular, all thr Reception staff, Bach, Ly, Thao, Minh, Daf, Ngyay Nhoc, as well front door Haan and Nang. The team were so freindly and helpful. Bach in particular with his great knowledge of the city was always able to advise on the best spots and places to go. My biggest regret was not being able to tip the key staff as I ran out of enough currency on the last day!

Had to stay here for work as the me the grand was full. Positives first - good location and the ladies at breakfast looked after me very well Negatives - tried to check in at 1530 after 24 hours travel. The reception tell me I cannot have my room as the previous customers have a late check out and I will not be able to get in until 1900 at the earliest. Reception tell me they informed the agent, spoke to the agent and no one told them. The key card kept unpairing. Conclusion - it’s fine as a tourist but no good for work and to rest
