We've stayed at the Ibis Brighton several times before and have always had a great stay. The hotel location is really convenient for the railway station - being almost next door and is central to everything in Brighton - shops, restaurants, pubs cafes etc. The staff are always really friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean, fresh and what you would expect from a budget hotel - basic but clean with a very comfortable bed, great shower and tea making facilities. My only complaint about our last stay was the curtains/blackout blinds. Well, they weren't! It didn't matter how hard we tried to move them - they were in three sections - we couldn't keep the light out which is very frustrating when you want to get a good night sleep. Everything else was very good, but apart from moving rooms (and the new room might have had the same problem), there was nothing we could do. Anyway, we were only booked for one night and we put up with it, but please Ibis, get it fixed and put up some decent blackout curtains.

Rip off and bad customer service

An awful place with no customer service skills and a worse hotel experience than a hotel inspector related one. Asked to have cancelled as the advertised rooms don't accommodate the right amount of people and they just claimed sorry have your money now, so bugger off. Never will go anywhere near them again and as for booking.com a joke as well. Credit card was used so therfore will be raising a dispute. Terrible avoid better places to stay that don't rip you off.

Always a good stay. Arrived to a welcoming Reception. The rooms are very clean (806) and had a nice view of Brighton . Slept well and bed very comfy. Ibis is very handy to The Train Station in fact minute away , literally. Very Professionally ran and the Breakfast at £12 is very worth it! I’d reccommend a stay here as it’s easy to the Sea front and of course The Lanes. Thank you to a wonderful staff

If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughters booked into stay at this hotel age 23 and 17 they were turned away because my daughter is 17! The website clearly states under 18 be accompanied by an adult which she was. This hotel left my daughters stranded with nowhere to stay clearly they don’t think about the safety of customers in a busy city. Disgusting customer service with no empathy towards a difficult situation which the staff put my daughters in.

Uncomfortable noisy and unhygienic breakfast

Mattresses are bizarrely thin so the fitted under sheets don’t fit which makes beds really uncomfortable. A lot of noise at night as students etc seem to party from dusk til dawn on that street. Breakfast inedible as luke warm which is highly dangerous from a bacterial point of view. Will not return.
