This is great value for money. Spotlessly clean, good sized rooms. We stayed in the family room, 1 double, 2 singles in a seperate partially private part of the room. Great shower. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but had a McDonalds breakfast just across the road. A 7 min walk to Buffalo Grill and the restaurant in the Ibis next door is excellent.

Excellent value. Let down by air conditioning

Lovely budget hotel. Clean and airy. Air conditioning didn’t work. Receptionist said “All I know is press the button”. In the morning I googled the controller and because the display was showing ‘Central’ it meant some features were unavailable. Helpful.

Rooms are clean and relatively comfortable for very short stay. Food absolutely appalling, if you can in fact access any. The breakfast buffet was almost empty when we came to breakfast and despite being charged €10.50 per person we were told all of the food was eaten by other guests!!! The woman who ran the breakfast and who we later dealt with on reception was the rudest person I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Lady who ran the bar was lovely! I would prefer to sleep in my car than to ever book either Ibis hotel in Cherbourg again!

We opted for IBIS budget because we needed accommodation for the whole family, 3 adults and 2 (adolescent) kids. They gave us two double rooms, for a reasonable price (around 64 eus/room). At first glance, the rooms look like those of a hospital, which is not the best. However, they turn out to be comfy, fine for one-night stop-and-go staying. The hotel is very basic but very clean, reasonably comfortable, and cheap. Located outside the city, it is very close to a McDonald's (just in front of the hotel), a supermarket, and a boulangerie (3' walking). Breakfast should be around 7 eu each, but we did not try it (we opted for a couple of croissants from the afore-mentioned boulangerie. The entrance is side by side with that of the bigger brother IBIS, of higher level and more costly. Doors tend to slam when released, which may be bothering if you wish to sleep longer in the morning. Also, ground-floor room' window looks directly into the parking lot, so that you can't open the curtains if you want to maintain privacy. Upper-floors rooms should be better on this respect.

Hallo, Hartelijk dank voor uw reactie na uw verblijf. In feite hebben we twee hotels naast elkaar, een ibis en een ibis budget. Wij bieden kamers voor 1 tot 5 personen op het Ibis en voor 1 tot 4 personen op het Ibis budget. Het restaurant en de bar zijn toegankelijk voor beide hotels. We kijken ernaar uit u binnenkort te mogen verwelkomen.

We were pleased with room but then invaded by semi naked men massaging on beds in all corridors and stairwells of hotel from 11pm very load generator noise no sleep at all very poor and glad to leave shame because room clean and smart

Bonjour, Je vous remercie d'avoir pris le temps de laisser un commentaire. Effectivement, nous avons accueilli les équipes de cyclistes pour les 3 jours de Cherbourg et nous avons remonté le problème pour la saison prochaine afin qu'ils s'installent dans une pièce. Pour la chaufferie, malheureusement nous avons une pièce qui est tombée en panne et qui a engendré un bruit et je vous prie d'accepter toutes nos excuses. Le technicien est intervenu dès réception de la pièce à remplacer. Je vous prie d'accepter de nouveau toutes nos excuses. Bien à vous. Mme Le Marchand Virginie. Directrice.
