This. Isn’t Novotel quality, this is an Ibis hotel at best! I didn’t mind being further out from the city to save some money, but despite that, the hotel lacks quality despite the price paid. The aircon hardly worked, two paper cups with no spoons and instant coffee only. The shower leaked on the floor soaking the bathroom, you can hear everyone in the other rooms, the internet is slow, and the breakfast is impossible - I gave up as the staff couldn’t speak English and couldn’t find a free table to sit at. Avoid and just pay to stay at an Ibis as it’s the same.

Stayed for 1 night before our cruise. Really conveniently located, close to both the airport and the cruise terminal. Beds were comfy and room very clean. Breakfast was good, although busy. Nice touch with the games facilities and pool to keep the kids entertained.

Shower is badly designed. Needs fixing immediately.

Nicely renovated lobby and restaurant, with efficient check-in service. Close to the airport and intercity train (not Metro) direct to Barcelona city center. Still, it takes about 45mins from hotel to city center (walk + train change etc). The only reason why I am providing a review is that the shower is very badly designed. The glass door only opens inwards into the shower bed, and one must be a child to be able to squeeze into a 10 cm corner, close the door and shower. My husband gave up and decided to shower with the door open - inevitably resulting in a wet bathroom (and the need to wipe up after each shower). The hotel should expeditiously fix this problem. It feels like the bathrooms are in a state of work-in-progress: sink is old and scratched, toilet doesn't flush well... I am an accor member and loyally stayed in accor hotels around the world. This is by far the worst bathroom I have encountered, and falls far short of accor standards (more so, since this is a 4 star chain).

Although the hotel itself is lovely and inviting and the staff were always pleasant and helpful, the rooms are awful! I never leave bad reviews but I cannot let this lie, Upon our stay us aswell as another family we’re bitten to death by bed bugs! (Confirmed by a doctor) one person is pregnant and has had to receive treatment from a GP due to the extent of the bites, the hotel claims they have “a certificate” after having the rooms apparently inspected but I know this isn’t the only review stating this issue? Maybe people are thinking it’s just basic mosquito or bug bites, when in fact it isn’t, They ignore your concerns and correspondence it took a 3rd party to get a response from them after many attempts to reach out! stop hiding behind make believe exterminators and sort what is clearly a massive issue within your hotel!!!!!! what was supposed to be a family break has turned into to coming home, receiving medical attention, spending weeks uncomfortable and having to fork out to get our cases, luggage and anything else we have come into contact with while there to clear up their massive disregard to basic hygiene and human comfort that could have crossed over, medical notes and photo evidence was provided but completely ignored and brushed under the carpet! you couldn’t pay me to stay at a place like this again

We immediately requested the presence of a pest detection company to check if there were any bedbugs in the room you had stayed in, without detecting any presence, issuing the certificate that was sent to you through Booking.com. Bugs are insects that are anywhere outdoors, and are carried by pigeons and other animals. These get attached to trousers or suitcases and reach interior spaces transported by people, they do not appear suddenly in linen or spaces. As a public space we have a permanent health control obligation in all our facilities, and when we have a statement like yours, it is vital for us to act as quickly as possible to verify it, as we have done in your case. It is not in our power to establish where or what insect has bitten you, our task is to find out if there are or have been bedbugs in the room you stayed in, and we have done so by means of this certificate. At Novotel Barcelona Cornellà we have not had any cases of infections or allergies caused by any element coming from the hotel itself, any conclusion that you may have been able to draw is not supported by any evidence. Please note that unless we made a mistake, our hotel has not received any communication from you apart from the refund request through Booking.com. I stayed at this hotel, which boasts an excellent location, close to both the city and the airport. The room I was allocated was spacious and well-appointed, featuring both a bathtub and a shower. However, I must express my disappointment with the breakfast experience. While there was a wide variety of options available, the majority of the hot dishes were served cold, which significantly detracted from the overall breakfast enjoyment.
