Great quality hotel in a central area. Staff is lovely and helpful and the modern renovated upgraded rooms are comfortable and well insulated to reduce the traffic noise. Could be improved by providing some anemities in the bathroom eg dental kit, shower cap etc.

I stayed for two nights at the Novotel Brussels Centrum Hotel in Budapest as part of a business trip. My room was on the first floor and it had recently been refurbished so it was nice and pleasant. I understand from colleagues that not all floors had refurbished rooms. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fine. The toilet was separate but in a very, very small closet. The room was on the inside part (internal courtyard - no openings) so not very bright but silent. Breakfast was rich but of medium quality. I had two buffet lunches in the hotel and quality was really average. Some staff were nice (the person speaking Italian at the reception or one of the waiters in the restaurant), others were not very helpful and not friendly. Mixed feelings about the hotel.

What a delightful hotel! I was here over a long weekend and everything was great. In particular the staff were all so friendly and helpful, everyone from the cleaning staff to the bar staff and the front desk. I stayed on the first floor in one of the very attractive and newly renovated rooms (I believe others are still being redecorated). The room was spacious and had a separate toilet and shower. It was so nice to see that this hotel still has the old-school minifridge with juices and snacks inside and also provides a kettle, coffee maker and tea bags. These things are not always available anymore in hotels in this price range and the coffee in particular was much appreciated. Bed was comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was large and had plenty of items on offer, everything from scrambled eggs, Hungarian sausage, and bacon to chia pudding, fresh fruits and even fresh langos (Hungarian deep-fried dough specialty) which you could smother in cheese and sour cream, if you weren't watching your weight. The Palace restaurant, which is the restaurant incorporated into the hotel, is a bit of a cavern but has a kind of cool old-school Soviet era-meets-Hungarian art nouveau vibe going on. On the night we dined there – a pleasant enough three-course meal, complete with Hungarian specialties like rolled cabbage and cake for desert – there was a pianist playing on the mezzanine, which only made it a bit more of a throwback. We ate a lot in Budapest and there are plenty of hip, modern eateries around. This is not exactly one of them but it was awesome nonetheless. The location is good, in the middle of a busy shopping area, including a supermarket and if you venture further into the side roads, cafes and restaurants aplenty. Also right in the middle of a bit of a transport hub with plentiful connections to tram, bus and metro here. Speaking of public transport, we would highly recommend using the Hungarian buses, trams and trains – there's literally one on every corner, they crisscross the city and suburbs, and the app they have, called BudapestGO, is really easy to use.

It’s alright. Good hotel. Very clean. Had a last minute booking due to missing my flight and it was a speedy check in. So it was decent. Was very happy to spend the night here and the friendly reception was very helpful. Gooooooooooooooooooood
