No so pleasant stay april 2024

I am an accor plus member for many years, I always had a pleasure stay so I kept on renewing my membership. I choose to stay at novotel peace hotel beijing as their convenience location, however, the first impression after I got into my room ruined my previous great experience about this hotel brand. The smell from sewage, mould hardware in the wash basin e.t.c.and the room looks tired of their decoration. Once, I got trapped in the round auto entry door, 4 receptionist with no client ain't aware i got trap, no one at the concierge, 1 Bell boy hanging around outside the carpark can't see me. I knocked but no one can hear, at the end, a customer from their coffee shop spotted me finally and got help for me.

It all depends on what room you are given.

The first room we were given was terrible. It was dated and the bathroom stained and the shower didn’t work. It was what you’d expect from a 2 star hotel. We asked to be moved and the second room was 100% better. It was like being in a different hotel entirely. The hotel restaurant did stay open late to accommodate us upon our late check-in and the dinner - Seabass for me Salmon for my husband - was delicious. The breakfast buffet was limited but fine. The location is great. There is a great and inexpensive Peking Duck restaurant next to the hotel and another good restaurant accessible from the hotel dining room. The second room was very nice. The bed comfortable. It did get warm at night because the hotel hadn’t turned on the AC yet. I wouldn’t stay there again but

Novote Peace in Wangfujing, Beijing is with no doubt one of the best places for business men or families visiting Beijing for both short or long periods of time. The hotel is managed by a very professional staff, such as Miss Blair, who are there to make your hotel experience just perfect. Hotel is near to Wangfujing street and the Forbidden city which is good. Can walk to these places. Direction to room is abit weird. Have to go to 2nd floor then walk to the old wing then take lift up again. Room was ok. Bed is abit hard. Nice and clean.

Our room on the 5th floor was great. Bed is exceptionally comfortable, room is well equipped and everything is very clean. More room than we could have hoped for which was a nice bonus! Really well located - centre with Forbidden City walkable and a subway station 2 minutes up the road. Breakfast was quality. We don't come away to eat the same food we do always and love to embrace the location we are in , especially food wise. There were different choices each day and was all really tastey. I can't comment on the Western food choices as I didn't try them - but for the unadventurous there were options. Staff were very friendly and helpful, including recommending local places to eat and providing directions. Only criticism - tech is a little dated but who goes on holiday to watch TV?! And shower was not strong, sort of resembling a bit of a dribble, bath however was lovely.
