The Ibis Hotel, located not far from the main train station, offered me a carefree existence during my stay. The breakfast is simple, but it is very good in terms of taste and range. The rooms had good internet, the beds were large, although a bit hard for my taste. Sometimes the hallways are a bit noisy, otherwise it was very quiet.

Very well located, if you don’t mind being ever so slightly out of town. The hotel is in a largely residential area, with easy on-site parking and with a handy branch of Netto downstairs. There is also a good size Edeka within a few minutes walk. Lübeck old town is a good half hour walk, but very straightforward and there are regular buses down Fackenburger Allee too. Rooms are air conditioned, with fairly good soundproofing. I will ask for top floor next time, as there was a noisy family above me with heavy feet - even through concrete! Breakfast is excellent - lots freshly prepared on site, and plenty of choice. Staff spoke good English.

We’ve stayed in many an Ibis hotel and this uses the standard room layout including the bathroom pod, but was also well finished and the hall walls and carpets were also in good condition. There’s an onsite bar which also has a small food menu. The hotel is also situated over a supermarket which is convenient for self catering simple meals and snacks. Additional charge for ‘secure’ underground parking, although as the boom gate was broken and the roller-door always seemed open, I’m not sure how secure it really was. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

I have been visiting this hotel for over 10 years (expect during Covid). As an amputee (5 yrs ago) and in a wheelchair, the rooms are excellent and have safe and secure wc & shower seat. Staff are just the best in the business. Breakfast has been good for all the years I have visited and the restaurant manager is the same wonderful lady for 10 years. Nothing is too much trouble and good underground parking plus a large lift. 99% perfect just a new mattress which make my room 114 100%. Well done IBIS Germany. Perhaps a few Euros more than it should be even with an Accor card.
