Reasonably priced hotel with great staff. I stay in this hotel a few times a year and always find the staff incredibly helpful. Peter on reception is always pleasant and goes out of his way to make conversation and be generally welcoming. How he hasn't made it to Employee of the Month escapes me to be honest. The hotel itself is very nice but as with a lot of these properties could do with a makeover and an injection of cash to get it to be something special. The public areas are always clean and tidy and the general feel of the hotel is a comfortable one. The rooms are adequately furnished and clean. Again, could do with some renovation but nothing drastic. All in all it is a nice hotel, great value for money, lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. I'll continue to frequent this hotel.

I had a lovely stay, thanks to the receptionist sorting my booking out. During check in as my booking wasn't showing up in their system. the receptionist (Fatima) was very patient & helpful, she rang booking.com, dealt with the issue also told booking.com not to charge me. As they have taken my card details, it was really strange. I was glad that the hotel was not fully booked on Thursday evening as the car park was slightly empty. you have got a star working in reception, some hotels I have been to. Reception staff would have told me to sort it myself but this lovely girl has helped me and my wife with this booking. The room we was given was amazing. food was limited, lovely staff on the bar.

De um modo geral o Hotel é muito bom e perfeitamente recomendável. Os quartos são cómodos e silenciosos proporcionando um bom descanso. O restaurante serve refeições bem confeccionadas e o serviço de bar é agradável e eficaz. Notas menos positivas apenas para a TV limitada em termos de canais e qualidade de imagem e a não inclusão do café expresso no pequeno almoço, o que para um português tem a sua importância.

Já estive no Mercure duas vezes por viagem a trabalho. A estrutura do hotel é bem antiga, com carpete e cortinas para todos os lados. O exterior é bastante imponente, o interior mostra que o hotel parou um pouco no tempo. O atendimento da recepção é razoável, nunca se sabe o que esperar do humor dos recepcionistas. O staff que cuida do café da manhã é bem agradável e cortês, o menu é bem básico, típico breakfast inglês. Fuja das frutas e do suco de laranja, gosto de passados! O menu do serviço de quarto é muito limitado, pratos caros e comida que deixa muito a desejar. Não há NADA no entorno, portanto, faça suas refeições ANTES de chegar ao hotel, ou então terá que recorrer ao táxi para se locomover. Só vale a pena se for para uma estadia curta.

Pelo valor de 145 libras que cobram, é simples demais. 2/3 do staff acho que não gosta do que faz. O outro 1/3 é bem simpático. Dificuldades com a língua a parte (eles tem um sotaque muito característico e difícil de entender), tentam ser agradáveis com os estrangeiros. Café da manhã é simples. Qualidade do quarto e do banho é razoável. O aspecto externo do hotel é charmoso. O restaurante é o padrão da região, com um preço um pouco mais alto. Internet a cabo no quarto de boa qualidade. Wifi somente no bar.
