Poor Quality breakfast ingredients

Hotel was ok but what really jet it down was the food. I should have been warned the night before when I saw a couple send a bar meal back. Anyway for breakfast there was bacon with no taste, cheap sausages. poor quality black pudding and hash browns which look cheap and nasty, have no flavour and look like they’d been sourced from a pound shop. For £12 a head in the hotel your better off going to the pub 400 yards down the road. The toast and coffee and eggs were quite nice. Otherwise very disappointing. I’ve stayed in other Mercure’s before and breakfast then was far superior, standards have dropped.

The staff at the hotel are outstanding. On arrival we were greeted courteously and advised our room would be ready shortly. The room was clean and had everything for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding good quality, plenty of pillows . 2 comfortable chairs and a table in front of the window to view lovely extensive gardens and car park. The bathroom is a little dated and would benefit from a refurbishment but everything worked OK just a little jaded in places. The breakfast was beautiful. All self service but staff on hand to clear tables etc., The ingredients were all good quality and well cooked and very fresh. We had an evening meal included there was a decent choice and we both really enjoyed our meals which were well presented and delicious. The service was excellent Drinks were a little pricey but to be expected in a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was enhanced by the staff's eagerness to please.

Hotel velho, não muito limpo e com péssima localização. Pontos positivos: -O dia que vc vai embora. Pontos negativos: -Limpeza; -Banheiro; -Chuveiro; -Café da manhã; -Hotel velho; -Não tem ar condicionado.

Bastante fraco o serviço do hotel, que está precisando urgentemente de uma boa reforma para manter (ao menos) o prestígio da marca Mercure no nome do hotel. Os apartamentos são amplos, mas muitos deles são acessíveis apenas por escadarias (sem elevador), o que não é muito agradável para quem está chegando com malas. As bicas da pia datam de 1920 e não têm misturador de água (ou é água quente ou fria, mas não se misturam). O bufê do café da manhã é mal servido, falta pão, café e nem tem queijo. Além disso, é afastado do centro de York. Portanto, há outras opções bem melhores na região.

O hotel é show de bola. Fica afastado da cidade, mas tem acesso fácil para qualquer direção. Excelente serviço, atendimento, amplo estacionamento, parada de ônibus em frente para se ir até York. Um vasto campo com animais soltos. Recomendo.
