Poor Leisure Centre and Gym Facilities

Leisure facilities review. In the main gym area some of the cardio machines are faulty or do not work properly or as per specification, some (exercise bikes x2) have not worked for months. The pool is better but the jacuzzi is often not working, the steam room and saunas are again often not working or below expected temperatures. The aroma sauna has not been working for months now and the ice room has not worked for most of this year. The gents locker room/changing area has over 50 lockers but only approximately 10 lockers with a key. This facility has so much potential but in need of investment to bring it back up to a reasonable standard. I mentioned my concerns and frustration to the young guy at the reception area and he actually agreed with me.

Booked through Secret Escapes for my wife's birthday. A very enjoyable stay including a treatment at the Spa, use of the pool and a really excellent meal in the Oak Restaurant. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, particularly Cheryl and Morgan on reception and the excellent Maitre D, Kelvin in the restaurant. Minor complaint about the hard pillows and the lack of EV chargers but these didnt detract from a lovely stay.

Just experienced the most lovely weekend here for my birthday. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings, so peaceful with lovely views from our room.The spa was very relaxing with the staff being especially helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was delicious and staff very attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Hope to come back soon!

Nice hotel out room had a comfy bed Used the pool Jacuzzi steam room didn't have any treatments Had an evening meal and Kelvin who was on was so nice and attentive Breakfast was good plenty of choice Out stay was a Xmas present on a Groupon deal I thought it was valid for money

We had our wedding reception here in March and it was absolutely fantastic. Nikki and the team went above and beyond to give us exactly what we wanted to make the night extra special. Nothing was too much, the buffet was incredible. Just a brilliant night made by an even more brilliant team. The Romeo and Juliet suite we stayed in was a perfect icing on the cake.
